        建國神話의 循環構造에 대한 易學的 考察

        All of the Nation-Founding myths have the same structure as Dangun Myth has, that is the circulation structure like ascending to heaven and then decending to earth. The Story of Dangun Myth draws a circle, having the circulating structure of Chonggang (meaning decending to earthcir) myths and Nansaeng( meaning oviparous, or appearing from an egg) myths. Such structure as this is the characteristic of the Nation-Founding myths in Korea. So, later this structure appears again at the following myths like Parkhyuggerse myth, and Algee myth etc. Therefore, we can say that the Korean people have lived a unitary life, not a dualistic one.

        이생규장전 : 분석심리학으로 읽어보기 reading by means of psychoanalysis

        본 논문은 <이생규장전>을 분석심리학적 입장에서 분석함으로써, 작품의 심층적 의미를 밝히고자 하였다. 분석심리학의 창시자인 음은 인간의 의식과 무의식을 통합시키는 자기실현이 인생의 궁극적인 목적이라고 한다. <이생규장전>은 소극적인 이생이 적극적인 인물로 변신하는 과정을 그린 작품이다. 즉 그는 원래 소극적이었으나, 무의식 속에서 적극적인 여인을 만남으로 온전한 인간으로 변모해 갔던 것이다. 이생은 작가 김시습처럼 소극적인 인물었다. 그러므로 그는 무의식적으로 적극적인 인물이 되기를 갈망한다. 이에 그는 우연히 적극적인 최여인을 만나게 된다. 여인은 이생과 달리 적극적인 인물이었다. 그러므로 둘이 처음 만나는 과정이나, 결혼하는 과정이나, 나아가 죽어서 서로 만나는 과정에서도 모두 여인의 적극적인 행동에서 이루어진다. 이런 적극적인 여인의 모습에 감동을 받은 이생은 작품의 말미에 드디어 적극적인 사람으로 변모된다. 즉 그는 마지막에 스스로 목숨을 끊어 여인을 따라간 것이 바로 그것이다. The purpous of this thesis is to grasp the meaning of "Isanggyujangjun" by analysing it in the light of psychoanalysis. C. G. Yung, founder of psychoanalysis, defined that self-completion(in other words self-realization) which combines one's conciousness with unconsciousness is the ultimate purpous of life. "Isanggyujangjun" is the work which shows the process that negative Isang changing to a positive man. He was born negative, but he was changed to an unimpaired man by meeting Miss Choi in unconsciousness. Isang was negative like the writer Kimsiseup. Therefore he wanted to be a positive man unconsciously. Because of this he accidently meeted Miss Choi whom is positive. Unlike Isang, she was a positive woman. Therefore, from a process they meet first, get married, to meet again after death is done only by the woman's positive act. In the end he killed himself, and followed her in another world.

        萬福寺樗蒲記 : 分析心理學으로 읽어보기 To Read with Psychoanalysis

        The purpose of this thesis is to find the deep meaning of "Manboksajeopoki" by ananlyzing it in the light of psychoananalysis. C.G.Yung, who started psychoanalysis, thought that self-completion (in other words self-realization) which combines one's consciousness with unconsciousness is the ultimate purpose of life. "Manboksajeopoki" is the work which shows how Yangseng, the hero, achieves self-realization. The story is about Yangseng becoming the person who he wants to be. The former(Yangseng)is a male character,whereas the latter( the person who he wants to be ) is a female. The former is a lonely and unfortunate person, and has ever-lasting regrets and desires. Although the latter is a maiden spirit who died during the invasion of Japan, she finally satisfies her desires at last in this novel. Yangseng also wants to be the person like her. Yangseng enters the world of unconsciousness after reciting a poem under the tree at the moonlight. Yanseng, that is to say, enters the world of unconsciousness under the tree where man and God can meet each other, and at the moon-shining night when man and God can communicate. There by betting with Buddha, he meets a girl who died during the invasion of Japan. From that time she helps him accomplish his desires. Now I will look over the story one after another. First, she visits Yangseng at temple, and sleeps with him at the night. Secondly, the following day she carries him to her house, the tomb, and spends three days (which is three years in the real world) with him. But after that she had to go to the underworld following the unique Korean group-unconsciousness. She doesn't have all her desires achieved yet. Thirdly, she meets him again at Boryun temple where the second anniversary of her death is held, and spends that night with him. However, she still has to go to the underworld with some unsatisfied desires. Fourthly, Yanseng sells his inherited fortune, and performs an official funeral service for her. Also he performs a religious service at temple for three days. Fianlly she can be born as a man, and all of her desires become satisfied. This woman is the very other Self of Yanseng, the person who he wants to be. Now that Yanseng has his physical desires satisfied and achieves self-realization, he goes to the Mt.Jiri in pursuit of mental thing. Like the regretful woman, Yanseng is anxious to accomplish his desires. It is the main idea this novel intends to express. The characteristic of this novel is that the hero makes love with a dead woman. Why is this? It is because the hero loves death more than life. As the man who loves death likes night, so Yanseng likes night and meets her at night and escapes to the mountain in the end. In the same way, Kim Shiseup, the writer, seems to have liked death. He might have been so because he grew up in the unhappy family, and lived in the disordered time of King Sejo in the early Joseon dynasty when the unjustice overruled the justice.
