청각장애학생의 통합교육에 대한 일반교사의 인식과 지원 실태 파악

A lot of studies on teachers attitude toward inclusion showed their understandings about student with disabilities were getting better. The number of students with hearing impairment studying with general teacher in general classrooms is increasing. There, however, are a few researches on inclusion of hearing impaired students in general classroom. By using 400 questionnaires based from TATIS and TATIE, this study investigated understandings of general classroom teacher about educating students with hearing impairment and supports for the teacher teaching hearing impaired students. 289 of the questionnaires sent out to teachers of 10 schools were returned. Finally, 275 of them were analyzed. The results of the study showed that most of teachers participated in this study had positive attitudes toward inclusion of hearing impaired students. In addition, the results showed there was a tendency that teachers with teaching experience for 5~10 years had more positive attitude toward inclusive education. And the study found that the more teacher experienced teaching students with disabilities, the less they had positive attitudes toward teaching hearing impaired students. For the sake of helping the teacher, a lot of educational administrations have to apply real supports for teachers to educate hearing impaired students well and for hearing impaired students to study without many difficulties.
청각장애 교사 변인에 따른 국어교과 교수방법및 성취 기대 수준

The purpose of this study was investigating teachers` background influence on their teaching method for Korean literature and their expected level of achievement of deaf or hard of hearing(DHH) students. The participants in the study were in-service teachers for DHH students. The questionaries used by previous studies was modified and distributed to the participants. Statistical processes such as cross analysis applied data from the questionaries returned. The results showed that firstly, more teachers career more mixed method, especially teachers whose career was over 20 years preferred mixed method to other methods. Secondly, student-centered teaching methods was mostly applied by teachers not majoring Korean literature. teachers working at public schools preferred teacher-centered teaching methods, On the contrary, most teachers at private schools loved mixed teaching methods. However, at grammar class all teachers liked to apply teacher-centered methods. Finally, most expected levels of achievement of DHH student at their classes were ‘partly achieved’ despite teachers background variances.

Nonverbal communication includes gesture which meanings are different according to countries. A lot of study on inter-culture approach to investigate gesture differences among countries showed the differences were attributed to cultural differences of countries. Using the criteria for comparing the differences of gesture in the studies, the differences between American sign words and Korean sign words were analyzed. Results indicated that many sign words selected in this study reflected the cultural differences between the two countries. In sum, the result of this research implicated sign language had cultural characteristics of true language. However, the limitations of this study are selecting few sign words and comparing the sign words of only two countries, America and Korea.
