The purpose of this study is to investigate elementary school landscaping. The landscaping has intrinsic value for educational purpose as well as an open space resource in urban area. Four elementary schools in Taegu were surveyed and analyzed to identify the ratio of greenery, green volume and its maintenance. The result can be summarized as follows: 1. While 58 species of trees were quoted all over the text book, 17 to 52 species were found in each school and only few species were always dominant in each school. 2. The greenery and green volume were insufficient in terms of quantity and inadequate in placement, and there were differences in landscaping quality and quantity between schools. However the differences were not associated with the age of schools. 3. Functional implementations of landscaping technique(for example, environmental control) were needed for future landscaping of elementary schools.
대학(大學) 캠퍼스내(內) 야외공간(野外空間)의 여름철 미기후(微氣候)에 관한 연구(硏究)

Microclimate of open spaces on campus tends to be important because it is related with people's comfort and it can influences their behaviors in outdoor during summer. Climatic components for 4 points, concrete paving, lawn, landscaped pergola and nearby forest on university campus were measured and evaluated. The results show that the air temperatures on paving such as concrete and lawn under the direct solar radiation were higher than the temperatures of canopied spaces such as pergora and nearby forest by up to during summer. Characteristics of temperatures on lawn were similar to those on concrete paving. After evaluation, concrete surface was worst among 4 points, while landscaped pergola was the most effective facility in terms of thermal comfort during summer.

산림의 역할과 활용의 다양화 속에서 산림정보 분석에 대한 다각적 접근방법이 요구되어지고 있다. 이 시점에서 본 연구는 대도시권에 인접해 여러 개발압력에 있는 도·농 중간형 지역을 대상으로 위성영상의 리모트센싱과 GIS분석 툴로 산림패치에 따른 녹지지수(NumP, MPS, TE, TD, AWMSI, IJI, TCA, MCA, CAD, TCAI)를 산출하고 이를 이용하여 시계열적 변화의 구조적 특성요인을 분석하였다. 2시점에서 비교적 큰 면적규모의 토지피복별 변화는 산림지와 초지, 경작지에서 나타났고, 전체적으로는 산림지역이 다양한 용도와 큰 규모로 전용되었음을 알 수 있었다. 녹지지수를 이용한 산림패치의 구조적 패턴특성로 시계열에 따른 산림의 파편화는 증가하고 패치형태의 복잡성 증가와 패치평균크기 감소로 나타나고, 이러한 결과는 생물종의 보호에 필요한 임계면적의 축소를 가져왔다. 산림의 여러 구조적 특성변화들은 핵심지면적지수(TCA)에 많은 영향을 미치고, 또한 산림생태공간의 자연성에 대한 질적평가 자료로 활용될 수 있다. 산림패치를 이용한 녹지지수는 산림의 구조적 패턴특성을 정량화하는데 효과적으로 적용될 수 있고, 나아가 산림의 생태성 평가 및 지역 녹지계획수립에 필요한 사전 평가자료 제공과 산림변화 특성파악에 필요한 장래예측 툴로서의 가능성을 볼 수 있었다. The purpose of this study is to analyze the structural patterns characteristic of forest patch change difference to provide a basic data for evaluation and management of forest ecosystem in Haman county during 15 year from 1985s to 2000s using Landsat TM satellite images & GIS methods. As the results of this study, Green land indices (NumP, MPS, TE, TD, AWMSI, IJI, TCA, MCA, CAD, TCAI) were calculated with forest patch using patch analyst program of GIS. The change according to the land cover of a comparatively big area scale appeared at the forest and grass, the cultivated land at two points in time, and forest area changed in various uses and a big scale generally. As for the structural pattern characteristic of the forest patch which used a green land index, the fragmentation of the forest increased by time-series. The core area to show the threshold area that it could be protected outside interference a straight seed showed decrease by time-series. It can be applied to useful the green land index that used forest patch to quantify a structural pattern characteristic of the forest.
