모바일 클라우드 환경에서 PFMIPv6를 이용한 향상된 PMIPv6 경로 최적화 핸드오버 기법

모바일 클라우드 컴퓨팅에서 이동 노드는 이동 중에도 끊김없이 서비스를 요청하고 받을 수 있어야 한다. PMIPv6에서 이동 노드가 통신하고자 하는 상대 노드가 동일한 PMIPv6 도메인에 있는 또 다른 이동 노드인 경우에는, 두 이동 노드 간의 패킷이 각 노드가 접속해 있는 Mobile Access Gateway와 Local Mobility Anchor를 통과하여 전송되기 때문에 패킷 전송비용이 증가하는 문제가 발생한다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 몇 가지 경로 최적화 기법이 제안되었다. 그러나 제안된 기법들은 최적화된 경로를 결정하기 위해 많은 시그널 메시지가 필요하다. 본 논문은 PFMIPv6의 예측 알고리즘을 활용한 경로 최적화 핸드오버 기법을 제안한다. 이동 노드의 핸드오버가 임박할 경우 PFMIPv6의 예측 알고리즘을 활용하여 경로 최적화에 필요한 컨텍스트 메시지를 이동 노드가 접속할 MAG에 미리 전송한다. MAG는 컨텍스트 메시지를 활용해 최적화된 경로를 미리 설립함으로서 추가적인 경로 최적화 절차를 수행하지 않는다. 제안된 기법은 PFMIPv6의 예측 알고리즘을 활용하여 경로 최적화에 필요한 컨텍스트 메시지를 전송함으로서 시그널 메시지를 줄일 수 있다. 제안된 기법의 효율성을 보여주기 위해 수학적 성능 평가를 수행하였으며, 이를 통해 제안된 기법이 기존의 경로 최적화 기법보다 우수한 성능을 제공함을 보여준다. In the mobile cloud computing, the mobile node should request and receive the services while being connected. In PMIPv6, all packets sent by mobile nodes or correspondent nodes are transferred through the local mobility anchor. This unnecessary detour still results in high delivery latency and significant processing cost. Several PMIPv6 route optimization schemes have been proposed to solve this issue. However, they also suffer from the high signaling costs and handover latency when determining the optimized path. We propose the route optimization handover scheme which adopts the prediction algorithm in PFMIPv6. In the proposed scheme, the new mobile access gateway establishes the bi-directional tunnel with the correspondent node's MAG using the context message when the mobile node's handover is imminent. This tunnel may eliminate the need of separate route optimization procedure. Hence, the proposed scheme can reduce the signaling cost than other conventional schemes do. Analytical performance evaluation is preformed to show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme. The result shows that our scheme is more effective than other schemes.

Fuzzy logic based reasoning for assessing bulk tank milk

Many dairy producers periodically receive information about their bulk tank milk with reference to bulk tank somatic cell counts, standard plate counts, and preliminary incubation counts. This information, when collected over a period of time, in combination with bulk tank mastitis culture reports can become a significant knowledge base. Several guidelines have been proposed to interpret farm bulk tank milk bacterial counts. However many of the suggested interpretive criteria lack validation, and provide little insight to the interrelationship between different groups of bacteria found in bulk tank milk. Also the linguistic terms describing bulk tank milk quality or herd management status are rather vague or fuzzy such as excellent, good or unsatisfactory. The objective of this paper was to develop a set of fuzzy descriptors to evaluate bulk tank milk quality and herd's milking practice based on bulk tank milk microbiology test results. Thus, fuzzy logic based reasoning methodologies were developed based on fuzzy inference engine. Input parameters were bulk tank somatic cell counts, standard plate counts, preliminary incubation counts, laboratory pasteurization counts, non agalactiae Streptococci and Streptococci like organisms, and Staphylococcus aureus. Based on the input data, bulk tank milk quality was classified as excellent, good, milk cooling problem, cleaning problem, environmental mastitis, or mixed with mastitis and cleaning problems. The results from fuzzy reasoning would provide a reference regarding a good management practice for milk producers, dairy health consultants, and veterinarians.

방사성 폐기물 처분연구의 QA절차에 따른 웹기반 문서처리 워크플로우 시스템 개발

During the early stage of radioactive disposal programs, important issues related with quality assurance of data sets, methodologies, R&D procedures are recognized as important ones. This paw focused on the development of web-based workflow standards for the QA procedures of the radioactive waste disposal programs. The flow of process was analyzed based on workflow concepts proposed by the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC). QA system is based on the principles of T2R3. T2R3 stands for transparency, traceability, review, reproducibility, and retrievability. Workflow was used to standardize and restructure the business and/or work process in the industry or orpakation. The WfMC has identified five functional interfaces to a workflow service as part of its standardization program They are composed of process definition interface, worklist handler, application program interface, interface between workflows, and system management. The task flow and QA program were defined based on the wokflow ideas. QA procedures for the R&D results of radiation disoposal were analyzed following the reference model of workflow. In addition, six program run list were created and implemented. The creation, revision, and approval of the test data were designed to be inplemented on the web environment. Through this system, R&D procedures such as planning, research, documentation, internal review and future independent peer review processes could be well organized and stored more systematically on the database and knowledge base. This will encourage the usage and data sharing between interested parties through it's clear and transparent workflow standards.
