In the present study, fuel cell driven ground source heat pump system is applied to a large community building and performance of the heat pump system is computationally analyzed. Conduction heat transfer between brine pipe and ground is analyzed by TEACH code to predict the performance of heat pump system. Predicted COP of the heat pump system and the energy cost were compared with variation of the location of the objective building the water saturation rate of soil and the driven powers of heat pump system. Significant reduction of energy cost can be accomplished by employing the fuel cell driven heat pump system in comparison with the late-night electricity driven system. It is due to the low electricity production cost of fuel cell system and the application of recovered waste heat generated during electricity production process to the heating of large community building.

Objective: To assess the quality of life (QOL) of uterine cervical cancer patients after treatment in Korea and to demonstrate influencing factors. Methods: 127 uterine cancer survivors, 107 controls of benign gynecologic surgery patients were interviewed with study questionnaire by research assistant. Results: Participants were with the mean age of 54 years (cancer patients) and 43 years (controls). Physical component score of General QOL was statistically significant in uterine cervical cancer group compared with control group (p=0.049). Parts of MCS, CS-QOL, Emotional support, Coping efforts didn`t show differences between two groups. In patients` characteristics, high economic status and advanced stage influenced patient`s adaptation to treatment. When evaluating QOL including sexual function, most parts were statistically significantly worsen in uterine cancer patients, ie, sexual dysfunction (p=0.004), sexual discomfort (p=0.070), sexual pleasure (p=0.011), gynecological symptom (p=0.001). Most factors except age didn`t influence sexual function deterioration between cancer group and control group. Common presenting concerns of cancer patients before treatment was health (51%), children (23%), economic problem (16%) but after treatment health (92%). The most helpful people were family members in 84% and physicians in 9%. Conclusion: Uterine cervical cancer survivors in Korea appear to experience greater distress on sexual function especially in young age. Therefore it is important for health care professionals to recognize that aspects of cancer survivorship continue to require education and adequate follow - up program.

Ground source heat pumps are clean, energy-efficient and environment-friendly systems cooling and heating. Although the initial cost of ground source heat pump system is higher than that of air source heat pump, it is now widely accepted as an economical system since the installation cost can be returned within an short period of time due to its high efficiency. In the present study, performances of ground source compound hybrid heat pump system applied to a large community building are simulated. The system design and operation process appropriate for the surrounding circumstance guarantee the high benefit of the heat pump system applied to a large community building. If among several renewable energy sources, ground, river, sea, waste water source are chosen as available alternative energies are combined, COP of the system can be increased largely and hybrid heat pump system can reduced the fuel cost.

In the present study, optimal heat supply algorithm which minimize the heat loss through the distribution pipe line in group energy apartment was developed. Variation of heating load of group energy apartment building in accord with the outdoor air temperature was predicted by the heating load-outdoor temperature correlation. Supply water temperature and mass flow rate were controlled to minimize the heat loss through distribution pipe line. District heating apartment building located in Hwaseong city, which has 1,473 households, was selected as the object building for testing the present heat supply algorithm. Compared to the previous heat supply system, 10.4% heat loss reduction can be accomplished by employing the present method.

Purpose: To evaluate statistical differences among three measurements of range of motion(ROM) with Rapael Smart Glove (RSG) group 1, 2 and manual goniometer group. To investigate reference value of the kinematic analysis for range of motion (ROM) of distal upper extremity with Rapael Smart Glove (RSG). Methods: Sixteen normal persons without limitation of motion (LOM) enrolled in the study. The study was performed at two separate times and by two investigators on 16 normal adults. We compared ROM with RSG for measuring joint angles. We compared degrees of forearm supination/pronation, wrist flexion/extension and radial deviation/ulnar deviation during ROM of 16 participants using RSG. After one week, degrees of each motion were measured in the same way by other investigator to evaluate the reliability. Results: Statistical differences among three groups were showed. Most results of paired t-test between two RSG groups were over 0.05 and exceptions are supination, extension, and finger %. Conclusion: Our findings demonstrate that ROM of normal persons obtained by kinematic analysis with RSG are not valid as normal reference value for distal upper extremity motion. But, the reliability of between two RSG groups was showed with paired t-test and Pearson’s correlation except supination, extension and finger %.

In this study, we developed a heat supply control algorithm that minimizes the heat loss in the heat distribution pipelines used for supplying heat energy to shared group housing. Controlling the temperature and flow rate of the hot water supplied to the heat exchanger for shared group housing enables us to develop a heat supply control technique that meets the heating load required by each household in a shared apartment building in accordance with changes in the outdoor air temperature, and that minimizes the heat loss occurring in the heat distribution pipeline. A one-year study in 2008 on a 1,473-household D-apartment building in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, compared the heat capacity used by each household, as well as the heat capacity supplied to the heat exchanger room of the apartment housing building, to calculate the amount of heat loss in the heat distribution pipeline. The results confirmed that 24.1% of the heat supplied was lost in the piping.
공동주택 단지에서의 외기온도 변화에 따른 최적 열공급 제어 알고리즘 개발에 관한 해석적 연구

본 연구에서는 집단 에너지 공동주택 내의 분배관에 의한 열 손실을 최소화하기 위한 열공급 최적 알고리즘이 개발하였다. 외기온도변화에 따른 집단에너지 공동주택의 열부하가 열부하-외기온도의 상관관계에 의하여 예측하였다. 공급되는 물의 온도 및 질량유량은 분배관을 통한 열손실을 최소화하도록 제어하였다. 화성시의 지역난방 공동주택건물 아파트는 1,473 세대를 포함하며, 현재의 열공급 알고리즘을 실험하기 위한 대상 건물로 선정하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 알고리즘을 적용함으로써, 기존 열공급 시스템과 비교하였을 때 10.4%의 열손실 감소를 달성하였다.
