Taxonomy of Languriinae Crotch (Coleoptera: Cucujoidea: Erotylidae) in Korea

한국산 버섯벌레과에 속해 있는 방아벌레붙이아과(Languriinae Crotch)를 분류학적으로 검토하였다. 한국산 방아벌레붙이아과에는 1족, 2속, 9종이 포함되는데, 그 중 Anadastus ruficeps (Crotch)와 Anadastus praetermissus (Janson) 2종을 국내에서 처음으로 보고한다. We conducted taxonomic study of Languriinae in Korea. Nine species that belong to two genera of one tribe were identified in Korea. Two species, Anadastus ruficeps (Crotch) and Anadastus praetermissus (Janson), were recorded for the first time in Korea. Description, photographs of adults, illustrations of diagnostic characteristics, and a key have been provided.
AHP를 활용한 애완곤충 종 선발의 평가지표 개발 및 적용

본 연구를 통해 애완곤충산업에 이용될 수 있는 곤충 종에 대한 평가지표를 개발하였다. 분석 방법으로는 전문가 의견조사인 델파이(Delphi) 방법을 이용하여 4개의 대분류와 9개의 중분류로 구성된 평가항목을 도출하였다. 또한, 계층분석과정(AHP)을 활용하여 애완곤충 종을 선발하기 위한 평가기준을 마련하였고, 적용 시험을 통해 점수의 체계화를 구축하였다. We developed an evaluation index for selecting pet insect species. As an expert opinion survey, the Delphi method was used to establish evaluation items. Using AHP (analytic hierarchy process), evaluation criteria for selecting pet insects were proposed. And then based on application testing, we established a scoring system.

Research confirm s that healthful benefits accrued w hen people connect w ith nature and insect by view ing and interacting w ith them . Insect rearing is easy, relatively inexpensive, and can breed sm all space. This study aim ed to investigate the physiological effects of anim al assisted activity using insect(O riental garden cricket) w ith diets and a rearing m anual. The group of insect activity whose ages ranged from 65 to 82 years old that attending a com m unity center in Daegu, Korea, w ere enrolled in the study betw een April and M ay 2014. The collected data w as analyzed using qualitative analysis. Q ualitative study is utilized to explore m ental m odels, and their linguistic, affective, cognitive, social and cultural significance. The result show ed that people-insect interactions prom ote w ell being of the elders, and the im portant aspect of insect activity aids in im provem ents in their social, em otional and cognitive functioning w hich w ere enhancing life satisfaction, reducing loneliness and increasing activities of daily life.
남한산 큰자색호랑꽃무지의 종 동정 (딱정벌레목, 풍뎅이과, 꽃무지아과)

The South Korean hermit beetle has previously been identified as Osmoderma opicum, which is distributed in Japan. Because of its rarity, this species is classified as an endangered species. To date, however, the identity of this species in South Korea has not been conclusively confirmed. To assess the taxonomic status of the hermit beetle occurring in South Korea, we performed a comparative study with the beetle's Eurasian congeners, based on morphological examination and molecular analysis using COI gene sequences. The results clearly showed that the South Korean hermit beetle is identical to Osmoderma caeleste, which has been described from the Russian Far East. Therefore, we suggest that the taxonomic identity of the South Korean hermit beetle is O. caeleste. 남한산 큰자색호랑꽃무지는 그 동안 일본에 분포하는 Osmoderma opicum으로 동정되어 왔으며, 국내에서는 그 희귀성에 의해 멸종위기종으로 다루어지고 있지만, 남한 개체군에 대한 면밀한 종의 실체에 대한 구명은 없었다. 이에 대해, 남한산 큰자색호랑꽃무지와 유라시안 근연종에 대해 형태 및 COI유전자 염기서열을 비교를 실시하였다. 결과적으로, 남한산 개체군은 형태적으로 극동러시아에 분포하는 O. caeleste와 동일하였다. 따라서, 남한산 큰자색호랑꽃무지는 O. caeleste임을 제안한다.
