상아질 접착제에 함유된 용매의 종류에 따른 접착능에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study was to compare the adaptability of two one-bottle adhesives which involve acetone or ethanol as a solvent. Class V cavity preparations with occlusal margins in enamel and gingival margins in dentin were prepared on buccal surfaces of 20 extracted human molar teeth. Prepared teeth were randomly divided into two groups (n=20). Each group was restored with Prime&Bond NT/EsthetㆍX (Eentsply/Caulk, U.S.A.) and Single Bond/ filtek Z-250 (3M Dental Products, U.S.A.), respectively. Samples were invested in plastic bottles which was filled plaster and stored in room temperature water for 24 hours, thermocycled, sectioned into halves buccolingually. Resin surfaces and tooth substances aroud resin restonations were treated with 10% phosphoric acid for 5 seconds, stored in 5% NaOCL solution for 24 hours, dried and gold coated. Enamel and dentin-resin interfaces were inspected under SEM. The results of this study were as follows; 1. Adaptibility to enamel of Prime&Bond NT and Single Bond was excellect. 2. Adaptibility to dentin was good in Single Bond group which was formed hybride layer and showed close adhesion, but was not good in Prime&Bond NT group which was formed gaps on the interfaces of composite-adhesive and dentin-adhesive. 3. Ethanol-involving adhesive was better adhesion to dentin than acetone-involving adhesive.
IPS Empress�2 system 을 이용한 라미네이트 비니어 수복

As the role of procelain veneers expands, dentists increasingly find themselves balancing esthetic advantages against material limitations. In a majority of clinical situations that use veneers, backed feldspathic porcelain has been used with great success and should be considered the material of choice. However, it has been reported that feldspathic porcelain veneers are brittle, prone to time-dependent stress failure and have a low flexural strength (60 to 70㎫). The sintering of the procelain particles creates microporsities and irregularities between ceramic particles, which gives porcelain low tensile strength and susceptibility to cracks. Therefore, the use of porcelain veneer in case of tooth fracture or large diastema closure is questionable. So the use of pressed ceramic systems for "difficult" veneer cases, such as required bulk of function under load is recommended. Recently, IPS Empress^(R) 2 glass-ceramic (Ivoclar North America, Amherst, Ny) has been used as an all ceramic material for 3 unit ceramic bridges, crowns, inlays, onlays and veneers. The final restoration, mode of a lithium disilicate framewrok ceramic and a fluoroapitite layering ceramic, offers clinical benefits in terms of high flexural strength (350∼450 ㎫), low wear of opposing tooth structure, esthetics similar to natural tooth and marginal adaptation. The purpose of this case is to report succesful laminate veneer restorations using IPS Empress^(R) 2 system in case of diastema, discoloration and fracture of upper anterior teeth and peg lateralis.
