가상 자전거 시스템을 이용한 고령자의 평형감각 증진에 관한 연구

본 연구에서는 가상현실기술과 자전거를 이용하여 평형감각 실조환자의 진단 및 시각, 전정감각, 체성감각 등을 효율적으로 진단하고 자극, 훈련시킬 수 있는 자전거 시뮬레이터 시스템을 개발하였고, 이 시스템이 평형감각 훈련에 대한 효과를 고찰하였다. 실험 방법은 20대의 건강한 젊은 성인과 70대의 노인을 대상으로 자전거 주행 시에 나타나는 주행시간, 주행속도, 중앙선이탈도, 무게이동과 무게중심의 변화를 측정하여 가상 자전거 시스템이 평형감각 훈련에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지에 대한 유용성을 분석 하였다. 실험결과, 20대의 젊은 성인과 70대의 노인이 훈련 후 주행속도와 주행시간 중앙선 이탈도가 감소하였고, 좌우 무게이동과 무게중심 면적이 모두 감소하였으며 시각적 피드백의 효과가 평형감각에 더욱 유용하다는 결론을 얻었고 시각적 피드백의 효과를 이용하여 복합 감성정보를 활용한 헬스기구나 평형감각 재활 훈련에 활용할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. In this paper, a new rehabilitation training system was developed to improve equilibrium sense by combining virtual reality technology with a fixed exercise bicycle. The subjects consisted of two groups. A group of young people, was compared against a group of elderly. We measured three different running modes of virtual bicycle system with two successive sets. The parameters measured were running time, velocity, the weight movement, the degree of the deviation from the road, and the variables about the center of pressure. The repeated training, our results showed that the running capability of the elderly improve compared. In addition, it was found out that the ability of postural control and the equilibrium sense was improved with the presentation of the visual feedback information of the distribution of weight. From the results of this experiment, we showed that our newly developed system might be useful in the diagnosis of equilibrium sense or in the improvement of the sense of sight and, somatic, and vestibular sense of the elderly in the field of rehabilitation training.

MR 댐퍼 적용 불안정판을 이용한 재활 훈련시스템 개발

The purpose of this paper was to develop a rehabilitation training system which is controlled by electric currents to the Magneto-Rheological dampers system. This system provided the function for the training of the unbalance of the lower extremities. 10 subjects executed the tracing and moving exercises which are presented through the display monitor and confirmed own the capability of performance on the task. The electromyographies of the four muscles in lower extremities were recorded and analyzed in the time and frequency domain the muscles of interest were rectus femoris, biceps femoris, gastrocnemius, tibialis anterior. The experimental results showed that subjects had a task under feedback mode then subjects improve the capability of performance, increasing the in time, decreasing the out time and the distance of body shift. The moving average EMG, spectral energy of four muscle is lower the feedback mode than the constant mode. This could aid the hemiplegic patients to train more easily.

We investigated the training effect of postural control for the elderly adults using a training system for postural control that we developed. 15 healthy elderly subjects were in the training group. 15 were as the control group. The training group participated in the training 3 times a week for 8 weeks in 1 hour sessions. To confirm the training effect, we measured relevant parameters such as the time of timed up and go test, and the sway path of center of pressure before and that after the training. The results showed that this training system could successfully improve the postural control capability of the elderly adults. Moreover, the significant improvement in the postural capability of the elderly subjects suggested that elderly subjects could benefit more from the training using the system for the improvement of the ability of postural control.
