This paper estimates crop farmer's preference on renewable resource using a choice-based conjoint model. For the data, 2,074 questionnaires were collected from 89 crop farmers in the Otofuke, Japan in 1999. From the empirical results, this study examines several attributes and levels of renewable resource influencing crop farmer's utilities and simulates the market share of the renewable resource.
전통적 유전자 알고리즘에 의한 복합재료 구조물의 최적 설계

유전자 알고리즘에 의해서 복합재료 구조물을 최적화 시켜 보았다. 유전자 알고리즘은 이산 변수를 고려할 수 있기 때문에, 설계 변수가 적층수와 적층각도 같은 이산 변수인 경우에서는 전통적 최적화 방법보다 정확한 최적값을 구할 수 있다. 유전자 알고리즘의 이러한 특성을 연구해 보기 위해서, 전통적 최적화 기법의 일환인 modified method of feasible directions (MFD)에 의해 복합재료 구조물을 최적화 시켜 보고 유전자 알고리즘에 의한 최적값과 비교, 분석해 보았다. 본 연구의 해석결과 유전자 알고리즘이 MFD보다 목적 함수에서 우수한 값을 나타낸다는 것을 알 수 있었다. In this study, a composite structure is optimized by using Genetic Algorithm (GA). Discrete variable scan be considered in GA. The GA is able to find better optimum than the classical optimization methods in considering design variable such as ply number and ply angle(orientation). To study the characteristics of the GA, a composite structure is optimized by the modified method of feasible directions (MFD) and GA. The results are compared and discussed. This result show that the GA provides better optimal results than MFD in the objective function value.
고차 QAM 신호를 위한 자력복구 채널등화 알고리즘 개발

We propose a robust blind equalization algorithm based on quadrant-partitioned constellations for QAM demodulation. The algorithm divides the received M-QAM constellation into simple four quadrant. The channel equalization for symbols in each quadrant can be accomplished fast and reliably using the Constant Modulus Algorithm(CMA) and the Stop-and Go Algorithm(SGA). Test result confirm that the proposed algorithm with lower complexity outperforms both the CMA and the SGA in reducing the SER as well as the MSE at the equalizer output.
OFDM 시스템에서 순차적 반복열을 이용한 새로운 주파수 offset 추정 알고리즘

We propose a new frequency offset recovery algorithms for OFDM multi-carrier demodulation. which are called Sequential Cyclic Prefix Algorithm(SCPA) and Modified Sequential Cyclic Prefix Algorithm(MSCPA). copy the backward sequences to the forward sequences as Cyclic Prefix(CP) and accomplish frequency offset recovery. Test results show that the proposed algorithms with lower complexity out perfrom both the Moose and the Van de Beek algorithm in reducing complexity with simple frame structure as well as larger frequency offset recovery range.
발목관절의 질병유무가 고관절의 등속성 근기능에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between chronic ankle sprain and hip and ankle muscle weakness on the involved side in female college students, then to identify the relationship between the muscle strength of hip and ankle joint and isokinetic test. Biodex system 3 model (Biodex Medical Systems, Inc., N.Y., U.S.A) was used. The means and standard deviations were obtained using SPSS 12.0(ver. Kor) statistical software. t-tests were performed to determine difference in the isokinetic values between contra lateral and ipsi lateral hipand ankle joint. A toltal of24 female college students who haduni lateral chronic ankle sprain at least twice with in a year were recruited from Swomen"s University. Their contra lateral and ipsi lateral hip and ankle joint isokinetic value was compared. The results are as follows. 1. With hip abduction at angular velocity of 30°/sec, peak torque, peak torque per body weight ,and total work variables were significantly less on involved side than the uninvolved side (p<.05) 2. With ankle eversion at angular velocity of 30°/sec, peak torque, peak torque per body weight, and total work variables and with ankle eversion at angular velocity of 180°/sec, peak torque per body weight were significantly less on involved side than the uninvolved side (p<.05)

The channel equalization for symbols in each quadrant can be accomplished fast and reliably using the Constant Modulus Algorithm(CMA) and the Dual-mode Algorithm, Test results confirm that the proposed algorithm with lower complexity outperforms both the Dual-Mode Modified Constant Modulus Algorithm(DM-MCMA) and the Dual-Mode Generalized Sato Algorithm(DMGSA)in reducing the SER as well as the MSE at the equalizer output.
