스쿠버다이빙 장비는 애초 군사목적으로 개발, 사용되어 오다가 구미각국에서는 이미 해양 레저스포츠용으로 자리를 잡아 널리 일반화 된지 오래 되었다. 우리나라에서는 스쿠버 다이빙이 1970년대부터 급속히 그 보급이 확산되기 시작하여 이제는 많은 동호인들이 즐기는 해양 레저스포츠로 각광을 받는 분야가 되었다. 그러나 아직 장비의 대부분이 수입에 의존하고 있고 또한 고가의 장비로서 쉽게 구입할 수 있는 것은 아니다. 장비의 개발목적은 단지 레저스포츠 애호가들만을 위한 것은 아니다. 따라서 대체장비로서 실로 그 용도는 다양하여 수중에서 활동하는 모든 분야에 응용이 가능하게 될 것이다. 예를 들면, 선박의 수리를 위한 수중작업이라든가 특히 어촌의 해녀들에게 보급된다면 물속에서의 작업시간을 단축시킬 수가 있어 보다 효과적인 수산물의 채취가 가능하게 될 것이다. 본 연구는 스쿠버다이빙 장비의 대체효과를 노릴 수 있는 새로운 수중호흡 보조장비의 디자인 개발로 우선 가격적 측면에서 경쟁력이 있고 사용성에 있어서도 유리한 조건을 갖춘 범용성 장비의 보급을 목적으로 기술개발이 완료된 상태에서 제품의 상품화를 목적으로 디자인개발의 연구를 진행하였다. SCUBA-diving equipment was developed and used for military purpose at first, and it was generalized wildly for leisure sports marine in European and American countries already. For SCUBA-diving was rapidly spread since 1970`s in our country, it became a field spot-lighted as leisure sports marine. However, it`s not easily accessed yet because most of the equipments are imported and the price is still high. The development purpose of the equipment is not just for leisure sports lovers. In fact, it will be possibly applied to every field for underwater activities for it can be used for many various purposes. For example, it can be used for the underwater work repairing a ship. Particularly, if it is supplied with woman divers in a fishing village, it will make more effective marine-products harvest enabled for it can make underwater working hours shortened. In this study, I arranged the progress process of design development for producing products on a commercial scale in the condition of the completion of technology development for the purpose of supply of commonly used equipment that is competitive in price and more convenient in use by developing the design of a new underwater breathing aid equipment which can acquire the substitution effect of SCUBA-diving equipment.

현대의 기업들은 저마다 제품의 차별화에 대하여 대중 미디어를 이용한 홍보전략에 이용하기도 하고 경우에 따라서는 직접 소비자와 대면하여 자사의 제품의 우수성을 입증하기 위한 이벤트를 실시하는 등 소비자 확보를 위한 노력을 계속하고 있다. 차별화의 목적은 기업의 이윤추구에 있지만 차별화의 발로는 우리 인간의 내면으로부터 표출되는 여러 욕구의 발전으로부터 시작된다고 볼 수 있다. A. Maslow의 「욕구의 단계이론」에서 설명이 되어 있듯이 하위개념의 욕구가 충족되면 상위개념의 욕구로 이어지고 최상위 개념에 도달하게 되면 취향도 더욱 다양화 되어 그야말로 생산자는 까다로운 소비자의 욕구에 맞추려 같은 종류의 제품이라도 다양화된 차별화를 추구하는 노력을 계속한다. Companies in the modern era continue to make efforts to secure consumers by using mass media for promotion strategy and by conducting events to prove their products` excellency through direct contacts with consumers in some cases with the purpose of differentiation of products. The purpose of differentiation is to make profits but the expression of differentiation starts from development of many desires coming from the inner aspects of human beings. As explained in theory of hierarchy of needs by A. Maslow, when needs in low hierarchy are met, desires in high hierarchy emerge. When the highest desire emerges to be met, tastes of people become more diversified and manufacturers continue to make efforts to pursue differentiation even of identical products in order to satisfy consumers` needs that are hard to please.

본 연구는 현재 사용되고 있는 오케스트라 악기 중 바이올린족(族) 현악기의 구조와 형태 디자인에 관한 연구로서 “디자인은 불완전성을 전제로 끊임없이 진행되는 일련의 행위”를 명제-물론 이 명제는 주로 공업생산 라인을 통하여 제조되는 제품에 해당되는 말이기는 하지만 수 백 년을 사용해 오는 동안 형태와 구조적으로 정형화 되어 완벽한 존재로서의 가치를 인정받고 있는 것은 주목해 봐야 할 일이다. 바이올린의 기원은 1400년대 찰현악기(擦弦?器)인 레벡(Rebec)과 피들(Fieddel)의 출현으로 비롯되며 이들이 현재의 바이올린의 원조로 보아지고 있다. 이후 여러 과정을 거쳐서 바이올린의 구조와 형태는 변화를 가져 오게 되는데, 연주자세는 악기의 변화에 큰 원인을 제공하였다. 그리고 악기의 음색과 음량, 음역대의 설정을 위해 구조와 재료의 선택에도 변화가 있었다. 16C~18C 이탈리아의 브레시아와 크레모나는 악기의 명장 아마티, 스트라디바리, 과르네리 등의 활동무대로서 이들이 제작한 악기는 현재까지 이어져 내려오고 있다. 바이올린족의 형태와 구조에 있어 완성형은 이들에 의한 것이라 할 수 있다. 전통적 현악기 이외에는 현악 8중주의 실험적 연주를 통하여 바이올린, 비올라, 첼로, 콘트라베이스의 각 중간대 음역과 바이올린보다 더 높은 음역을 담당하는 4개의 현악기를 추가하여 음악을 연주는 실험적 연주도 진행되기도 하였다. 한편 디지털 현악기도 개발되어 크로스오버 음악의 세계를 펼치는데 주요한 역할을 담당하는 현실이 되었다. This study is on the structure and formative design of string instruments, particularly the violin family, among orchestra instruments. A proposition, "design is a series of behavior that constantly progresses based upon incompleteness," -of course, this proposition applies to the products manufactured mainly through industrial production line but how they are receiving recognition as a perfect being as the shape became standardized for hundreds of years is something which claims our attention. The origin of violin started with the appearance of Rebec and Fieddel, the rubbed string instruments of 1400"s, and they are considered as the original of violins today. Since then, the structure and shape of violin changed through various process, and the playing posture made big cause in the change of instrument. Also, there were changes in the selection of structure and material for setting up the tone, volume, and range of instruments. Brescia and Cremona of Italy in 16C~18C being the stage of activities of Amati, Stradivari, and Gaurneri, the master of instruments, are continued on until now. Complete format in terms of the shape and structure of violin family were established by them. Experimental performance was done as well through string instrument octet experimental performance by adding mid-range of violin, viola, cello, and contrabass and 4 string instruments of higher range than violin other than the traditional string instruments. In the meantime, as digital string instruments got developed, it played a primary role in expanding the world of crossover music.
