Hearing loss is the most common birth defect among infants. Yet most hearing-impaired children are not identified until 1 to 3 years of age - which is well beyond the critical period(6 month) for healthy speech and language development. However, if a hearing-impairment is identified and treated in its early stages, child's speech and language skills will be comparable to his or her normal-hearing peers. For these reasons, hearing screening at birth and routinely throughout childhood is extremely important. Auditory brain-stem response(ABR) is nowadays one of the most reliable diagnostic tools in the early detection of hard of hearing. In this study, we developed the system that detects auditory evoked potential using micro-processor. Furthermore, it is required to develop a portable system to measure in not only soundproof room but also nursery for infants.
PPG 2차 미분을 이용한 정상인과 당뇨병 환자 간의 왼손과 오른손 말초혈관 탄성도 차이 비교

우리나라의 당뇨병 유병률은 경제발전과 식생활의 급속한 서구화로 빠른 속도로 증가하고 있다. 특히 당뇨병은 유병기간이 길수록 여러 합병증을 초래하는데 그 중 하나가 혈관경화증이다. 혈관 경화증은 신채 부위별로 그 진행 속도가 다르다. 광혈류측정법(PPG, photoplethysmogram)은 간편한 혈류량 측정방법으로 PPG 2차 미분 방법을 이용해서 혈관의 경화 도를 진단할 수 있다. 이러한 PPG 2차 미분방법을 이용하여 당뇨병환자의 왼손과 오른손의 말초혈관 탄성도 차이를 정상인과 비교해 보았다. 실험결과 당뇨병환자와 정상인의 양 손가락 말초혈관 탄성도의 유의한 차이를 확인 할 수 없었다.

The purpose of this study is looking for deviation of change in HRV caused of posture. Total 20 adults were measured for 40 minutes (10 minutes rest section and 30 minutes analysis section) when volunteers were sitting and lying down. Other factors which can change in HRV were controlled during measurement. The analysis section were divided by total 6 stages (each by 5 minutes), and compared and analyzed between sitting and lying down groups. It was also compared and analyzed stages in each group. In the result, there was difference at stage 5(20~25 minutes interval), but no difference in the total data. The results of each stage in the group, lying down had difference. Therefore, sitting is more stable measurement for HRV study when subjects was waking over 15 minutes.
