When the high speed train (KTX) departs from station in the high-speed line, intermittent on-board signal disappearance causes a hindrance of the operation punctuality. Therefore, we have a research objective to verify the causes of hindrance and to find an improvement plan. process of research, when train leaves the station, we applied sand on the rail to improve adhesive power, that sand has an effect on the ATC(Automatic Train Control) signal wave. We detected & analyzed signal waves which is came from detecting device by changing operation condition in accordance with sand material overage detection to be achieved.
KTX-1 고속전철의 병렬부하형 IGBT 제동초퍼장치 설계에 관한 연구

This paper presents a new design works for the braking chopper system which is included in the propulsion system of KTX high speed train. Due to the current fed type synchronous motors used in the propulsion system, some different behaviors are shown comparing to the voltage type other chopper systems. Specially this chopper system acts either braking controlling or regenerative power controlling system with a parallel resistive load in the propulsion system. In this paper, an improved simple high power IGBT brake chopper system has proposed which is able to be replaced with an existing complicated GTO chopper system. The analytical approaches to the parallel load type current chopper system and the propper snubber circuits calculation were explained in this paper to control new chopper system. In addition, the thermal resistance of the cooling system for power dissipation of IGBT modules was calculated also. Finally several PC simulations have been done to clarify its availability.
유지보수정보 주기를 고려한 KTX-1 모터블럭 개발품의 수명주기비용 예측

This paper presents the result of life-cycle cost (LCC) estimation for domestic products propulsion control system (motor block unit) of KTX-1 considering periodic maintenance. Life cycle costing is one of the most effective approaches for the cost analysis of long-life systems such as the KTX-1. Life cycle costing includes the cost of concept design, development, manufacture, operation, maintenance and disposal. To estimate LCC for domestic products motor block unit, it was analyzed physical breakdown structure (PBS) on motor unit in view of maintenance cost and unit cost etc. As a results, life cycle cost on motor block unit increased moderately expect for periodical time when major parts are replaced at the same time. hereafter this results will be reflected in the domestic products being developed.

도시형자기부상열차는 궤도위를 부상하여 마찰력 없이 움직이는 열차로서 레일에 닿지 않고 지속적으로 열차를 부상시키기 위해 차량에 장착된 갭센서의 계측결과를 활용하여 부상력을 제어하며, 열차 주행시 가속도센서의 계측값을 활용하여 열차가 주행중에도 안정적으로 부상력을 유지하도록 제어시스템이 구성되어 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 자기부상열차가 가지고 있는 제어시스템의 특징을 활용하여 도시형자기부상철도 선로의 궤도선형을 실시간으로 분석하여 도시철도 운영시 중요한 궤도의 점검 및 유지보수를 빠르고 정확히 하기 위한 도시형자기부상열차용 궤도선형 검측장비를 개발하고자 한다. Urban Maglev is transport system that runs while floating on the rail by an electromagnetic force instead of wheel. The control technology is maintaining levitation with sensor over the tracks under any external condition. We want to develop equipment for verifying rail-state of urban maglev system with control system. The equipment confirms rail-state for rail maintenance.
와전류와 히스테레시스가 자체 측정 자기베어링의 성능에 미치는 영향

A preliminary analysis of the effects of eddy currents and magnetic hysteresis on the performance of self-sensing magnetic bearings is presented. A self-sensing magnetic bearing employs an estimator of rotor position utilizing the information available in the electromagnets, instead of using separate position sensors as in typical magnetic hearings. An estimator which embeds a model of the bearing is designed using parameter estimation technique. The performance of the estimator is briefly presented. The model of the bearing on which the estimator is based assumes that the magnetic material is perfectly linear without eddy currents and hysteresis. A simple analysis is carried out to see how the performance of the estimator is affected by eddy currents and hysteresis which can be substantial in high-performance magnetic bearings.
