도서관의 전략경쟁분석에 관한 연구 -B대학교 학술정보관의 사례를 중심으로

도서관이 보다 높은 경쟁력을 유지하기 위해서는 대내외적인 환경의 변화와 도서관 내부의 여건들을 고려하여, 미래의 변화에 대응할 수 있는 전략과 실행계획을 도출하고 이를 활용할 수 있어야 한다. 이에 본 연구는 B대학교 학술정보관의 사례에 대한 집중적인 탐구를 통하여 타산지석의 교훈을 얻고자 한다. B대학교 학술정보관을 집중적으로 분석한 결과, 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, SWOT 분석 결과, B대학교 학술정보관의 강점은 경험이 풍부한 인적자원과 이용자 중심의 서비스 기반이다. 약점은 기초 인프라스트럭처 부족과 대외활동 부족이며, 기회는 학교의 명성, 온라인 환경으로의 전환, 대외협력이다. 그리고 위협은 자립성 확보의 미비와 예산지원의 감소이다. 둘째, B대학교 학술정보관의 대응전략은 온라인 정책의 활성화, 학교의 명성을 활용한 국내외 도서관과의 협력 강화, 인적자원을 바탕으로 한 자립성 확보, 온라인 이용자 서비스의 활성화를 통한 향후 투자비용 감소, 다양한 인적·물적 네트워크를 활용한 대외협력의 강화, 온라인 특화를 통한 자립성 확보 및 자구책 마련, 국내외 타 도서관과의 협력 및 정보공유이다. This study is in order to gain an objective lesson from an intensive investigation of the successful case of the B University`s library. The following are the results of the intensive analysis of the learning information center of B University. First, analysis reveals that the strengths of the B University`s library are the abundance of human resources and its patron-based essential services. Weaknesses is the insufficiency of the basic infrastructure and the lack of externally oriented activities. Opportunity lies in the reputation of the school, a switchover to an on-line environment, and foreign cooperation. Threat is in the deficiency of self-reliance and diminution of budget support. Second, the counter plan of the B University`s library includes revitalization of on-line policies, strengthening of cooperation with other domestic and foreign libraries using the school`s reputation, securing of self-reliance based on human resources, revitalization of on-line user services in order to reduce future investment costs, strengthening of foreign cooperation through application of diverse human/material networks, securing of independence and preparation of self-rescue measures through on-line specialization, and information sharing and collaboration with other domestic and foreign libraries.

도서관의 장기발전계획 수립에 관한 연구

급변하는 디지털 정보환경에서 도서관이 보다 높은 경쟁력을 유지하기 위해서는 대내외적인 환경의 변화와 도서관 내부의 여건들을 고려하여, 적절한 전략과 실행 계획을 수립하고 실천함으로써 도서관에 주어진 본연의 사명과 목적을 달성하여야 한다. 이를 위해 도서관은 장기발전계획서를 수립하고 명문화하여 도서관의 비전, 사명, 목적, 목표, 전략, 실행계획 등을 대내외에 천명하여야 한다. 이에 본 연구는 도서관의 장기발전계획 수립 사례에 대한 검토를 통하여 도서관에서 전략적 계획수립이 갖는 의미를 재인식하고, 나아가 B대학교 학술정보관에 대한 집중적인 탐구를 통하여 타산지석의 교훈을 얻고자 한다. In order for the library to maintain a relatively high competitiveness within a rapidly changing environment of information, it is necessary to accomplish its proper mission and goal through appropriate strategy and action plans by considering both inside and outside changes, as well as the given conditions within the library. For this, the library must utilize stipulated long-range plans in order to clarify the library`s vision, mission, objectives, goal, strategy, action plans. Hence, this research seeks to reappraise the significance of the strategic accomplishment of goals in the library through examination of a specific example of library long-term goal establishment, as well as gain an objective lesson from an intensive investigation of the successful case of the B University`s library.

무선주파수인식(RFID)을 활용한 도서관 운영에 관한 연구

본 연구는 무선주파수인식(RFID) 기술에 기반한 도서관의 운영 실태를 파악하기 위한 연구이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 다음과 같은 단계적인 연구방법들을 동원하였다. 첫째, 문헌연구를 통하여 RFID 도서관에 대한 개념적 정의를 하였다. 둘째, RFID 기술에 기반한 국내 주요 도서관의 홈페이지 내용을 분석하고 정보서비스의 실태를 파악하였다. 셋째, 도서관 전문사서와의 인터뷰를 통하여 RFID 도서관의 과제와 향후 전망 등에 대하여 논의하였다. 본 연구를 통해서 얻어진 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, RFID 도서관은 자료의 소장여부 및 도서의 대출 및 반납 등 정보서비스의 프로세스 전반을 쉽게 파악할 수 있다. 둘째, RFID 도서관은 도서관리 프로그램과의 연계성 문제, 시스템의 호환성 및 표준화의 문제, 시스템 도입에 따른 도서관 서비스 방식의 변화에 따른 문제, 정보보안과 개인 프라이버시의 문제, 시스템 장비가격의 문제 등이 과제로 대두된다. 셋째, RFID 도서관이 성공하기 위해서는 기술의 통합 및 표준화와 함께 정보 환경의 조직화에 따른 정보기술 인프라와 시스템 그리고 프로세스의 발전이 동시에 진행되어야 한다.

모바일 도서관의 운영실태에 관한 연구

본 연구는 모바일 도서관의 실체를 파악하기 위한 연구이다. 이를 위해서 모바일 도서관에 대한 개념적 정의와 함께 그 실태를 파악하기 위하여 무선통신에 기반한 모바일 도서관의 서비스 실태와 과제, 발전 전망 등에 대하여 논의하였다. 문헌연구와 도서관의 홈페이지 내용 분석, 전문사서와의 인터뷰를 통해서 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 모바일 도서관은 무선통신을 이용하여 소장 자료의 검색, 대출 및 반납, 참고질의, 공지사항 등의 서비스를 제공한다. 둘째, 모바일 도서관은 구현 기술의 표준화와 서비스의 단순성, 컨텐츠와 인터페이스의 문제가 제기된다. 셋째, 모바일 도서관이 발전하기 위해서는 기술의 통합 및 표준화와 함께 정보기술 인프라와 프로세스의 발전이 동시에 이루어져야 한다. 넷째, 모바일 도서관의 정보서비스가 성공하기 위해서는 모바일 환경과 특성에 맞는 다양한 형태의 서비스 개발과 함께 개인별 맞춤 서비스가 제공되어야 한다.

KJ법을 통한 도서관,정보센터의 미래예측에 관한 연구

사서의 핵심능력에 대한 대학도서관 사서의 인식에 관한 연구

본 연구는 2009년 1월 27일 미국도서관협회 평의원회에서 공표한 '사서의 핵심능력'에 대한 국내 대학도서관 사서들의 인식을 조사한 것이다. 이를 위하여 대학도서관 현장의 사서 17명을 대상으로 사전 교육 후, 설문조사를 실시하여 사서의 핵심능력에 명시된 8개 영역과 40개 세부능력에 대하여 각각의 중요도와 전공심화정도, 필요 교과목 등을 알아보았다. 연구 결과, 8개 영역별 중요도에서는 기록된 지식과 정보의 조직, 전문직 기초, 참고봉사와 이용자 서비스의 순으로 중요했으며, 전공심화정도에서는 전문직 기초, 연구, 참고봉사와 이용자 서비스의 순인 것으로 밝혀졌다. 사서의 핵심능력 배양에 필요한 교과목은 도서관경영론, 정보서비스론, 문헌정보학개론, 도서관정보정책론, 도서관연구방법론, 도서관자동화론의 순이었다.

공공도서관의 전략경쟁분석에 관한 연구 - C도서관의 사례를 중심으로 -

For a public library. which is a regional information service agency. to acquire high competitiveness, preparation for uncertainties of future through understanding its own internal strengths and weaknesses. and external opportunities and threats based on assessments regarding knowledge information environment and characteristics of regional community. current status of the library, etc. Therefore. in this study, through SWOT analysis. one of competitive strategy analysis methods, the status of competitive strategy of C library was analyzed. In order to carry out the study interview and survey were performed with professional librarians, then through final consultations from management consulting experts, a plan to strengthen competitiveness for C library was devised. Conclusions from this study were as below. In order to strengthen competitiveness of C library offering distinguished high quality services through active cooperations with external institutions, efforts to improve library's position and stand following being selected as a library to visit for 2006 World Library and Information Congress, and revitalization of library usage through providing user oriented differentiated services are needed.

전략경쟁분석을 통한 공공도서관의 차별화 전략방안 연구 - 인천 중구의 공공도서관을 중심으로 -

본 연구의 목적은 도서관의 경쟁력 강화와 효율성 제고를 위해 공공도서관에 대한 전략경쟁분석을 통하여 차별화 전략방안을 도출하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 인천 중구에 위치한 4개의 공공도서관을 대상으로 현황분석, 경영자원 분석, 외부 및 내부 환경 분석 등을 실시하여 전략경쟁 상황을 파악하고, 도서관 관련 각종 통계자료, 전국도서관 운영평가자료, 도서관 이용자 만족도 조사결과, 도서관 최고경영자 및 선임사서들과의 면담을 통하여 4개 공공도서관의 경쟁사 분석, 고객세분화 분석, 고객가치 분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 도서관별 차별화 전략방안을 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 4개의 공공도서관은 지역 내에서 서로 다른 타깃 이용자층을 대상으로 하는 맞춤형 서비스의 제공이 필요하다. 둘째, 공공도서관은 지리적 접근성 및 지역의 인구 구성 등을 고려하여 정보취약계층을 비롯한 소극적 이용자를 대상으로 직접 찾아가는 능동적인 도서관 서비스의 개발이 필요하다. 셋째, 공공도서관은 지역의 정체성을 반영한 다양한 프로그램의 개발 및 지역사회와 협업하는 문화공동체를 형성하여야 한다. The purpose of this study is to derive differentiation strategy through strategy competition analysis on public libraries in order to enhance the competitiveness and efficiency of libraries. To that end, this study conducted a status analysis, management resources analysis, external and internal environment analysis on four public libraries located in Jung-gu, Incheon to identify the situation of strategy competition, and conducted a competitor analysis, customer segment analysis, and customer value analysis of four public libraries through various library related statistical data, national library operation evaluation data, library user satisfaction surveys, and interview with chief librarian and senior librarians. As the result, this study suggests three differentiation strategies by library. First of all, the four public libraries need to provide customized services targeting different target users within the region. Secondly, public libraries need to develop active library services that directly visit passive users, who are information have-nots, considering geographical accessibility and the composition of the population in the region. Last, public libraries should form a cultural community that cooperate with the local community and develop various programs that reflect the identity of the region.
