The research on the electric bus with a swappable battery is introduced in this study. Currently, efforts for the reduction of carbon emissions across all of the industries around the world are spreading due to global warming. For that matter, utilization of electric vehicles increases in the transportation sector, which account for about 20% of total carbon emissions. In an effort to promote the wider use of electric vehicle, many legislative efforts are being conducted. However, the use of electric vehicle is spreading rather slowly than expected due to charging time of the battery. In this paper, the battery swappable electric bus technology in conjunction with a Quick Changing Machine (QCM) for battery charging and swapping is presented. Also, wireless communication technology for the smart transportation system is presented. To solve the problem of battery charging time, the battery swappable electric bus can be a suitable choice for an effective electric public transportation system.

The present study has been conducted to quantify the spray angle which is a common parameter for sprinkler spray analysis. Imaging processing technique based on the laser visualization is compared with measurement of spray patterns by momentum signal using the piezo-electric sensor. A DPSS laser with 100 mW power and 532 nm wave length was utilized for the visualization of sprinkler spray and the outer spray angle was measured to 145º for the reference operating condition of sprinkler. A spray patternator using momentum signal of spray droplets was made with the piezoelectric sensor array and the diameter of the individual sensor is 20 mm. The measured spray angle using the spray patternator with piezo-electric sensor is ranged about 140°~150° and shows good agreement with that of the laser visualization technique. This study can contribute to understanding the spray characteristics of sprinkler head and utilizing the fire safety analysis with sprinkler activation.

A research on the driving performance test of the electric bus with a battery swapping system is presented in this paper. For a successful and smooth operation of the battery swappable electric bus, there are two critical infrastructures among many others. Firstly, since the battery swappable electric bus is operated in conjunction with a Quick Changing Machine (QCM) which are installed at predefined locations, it is important to satisfy the specifically targeted mileage per battery change. Secondly, as wireless communication technologies for the intelligent operation of the battery swappable electric bus along with the QCM are applied, it is significant to establish the redundant reliability of the information system that is related to management of the battery status, the electric bus status and the QCM status in terms of the system integration. In this paper, along with the description of the battery swappable electric bus and the related infrastructures, actual driving performance data is presented and discussed. Finally, based on the results of the directly measured acceleration and driving performance of the battery swappable electric bus, direction for the further research is presented.
토양정화법을 이용한 하ㆍ오수 및 폐수 처리의 현장적용성에 관한 연구

토양정화법은 하ㆍ오수 및 폐수정화를 위하여 호기성 미생물이나 혐기성 미생물 같은 토양미생물을 활용하여 하ㆍ오수 및 폐수를 정화하는 공법으로, 흙 속에 있는 토양 미생물은 종류가 다양하여 주변 환경 변화에 따른 미생물의 증식이 가능하다. 따라서 토양정화법은 타 공법과는 달리 유입수의 부하변동에도 적절하게 대응할 수 있으며, 특별한 유지관리기술이 불필요한 공법으로 T-N, T-P등을 함께 처리할 수 있다. 또한, 상부에 개량된 토양을 피복하고 그 위에 잔디 등 식물을 식재함으로써 악취를 제거하고, 휴식공간으로도 이용이 가능하다. 본 연구에서는 토양정화법이 적용된 현장의 유입수와 유출수의 수질을 비교하여 토양정화법의 오염물질의 처리 과정과 능력을 분석하였다. 그 결과 BOD, COD, SS, 대장균 수의 처리효율은 약 90~100%로 나타났으며, T-N, 의 처리효율은 로 나타났으며 유출수의 수질은 하수종말 처리시설 방류수 수질기준을 만족하였다 Soil purification theory is the method using the soil micro-organism like aerobic and anaerobic for treatment of wastewater. The soil has many kinds of micro-organism and it multiply as change of the environment. Unlikely other methods, the soil purification theory is adaptable to inflow water change; moreover, it can process the T-N, T-P without any special method and management. The top is covered with the improved soil which can remove the bad smell and is used for resting place according to planting the lawn. This study is focused on analysis of the treatment processing of wastewater comparing inflow with outflow water. As a results, removal rate of the processing the BOD, COD and SS is almost 90~100% and it is 60~80% in T-N, T-P.
