Recently, GHG(Green House Gas) reduction scenario and carbon neutrality are a very important issue worldwide. Thus, the Korean government is also promoting the Green New Deal policy as a new growth engine for it. The building sector accounts for a large portion of reducing GHG emission. Green remodeling business is one of representative policies in a new version of Korean New Deal. In the green remodeling process, it is essential to assess energy performance of technical elements applied to the target building. Simple decision support models such as ECO2-OD and GREENY, have been developed and applied to the field, however, those are not being used by non-professional population since those were too difficult to use for them. The aim of this study is to develop a decision support model using a simple energy assessment method that allows non-professional population to use it for their green remodeling business. This model can be used in design phase since the simple energy assessment methods can support to figure out the energy efficiency of technical elements. When the model is developed, it is expected that non-professional population can actively participate in Green remodeling businesses.

Recently, GHG reduction scenarios and carbon neutrality have become significant global issues. The building sector accounts for a large portion of reducing GHG emission. Green remodeling businesses are among the representative policies in the new version of the Korean New Deal. Evaluating the energy performance of technical elements during the green remodeling process is critical. This study aims to develop a decision-making method using a simplified energy assessment approach that can be utilized by non-professionals in the green remodeling industry. The proposed model is intended for application in the early stages, facilitating the determination of energy efficiency for technical elements. With the development and implementation of this method, non-professionals are expected to be empowered to make effective decisions regarding technical elements in the initial phases of green remodeling projects.

Currently, the high performance windows system occurs surface condensation risk due to indoor humidity and temperature increase. For condensation risk prevention, it is important to maintain proper indoor environment. The aim of this study is to predict major condensation risk parts of high-performance windows system and derive efficient reduction method considering environment condition. To achieve study, the simulation program and multiple regression analysis was used to predict and reduce condensation risk of window.
창호의 형식과 구성사양이 단열성능에 미치는 영향성 분석

This study was conducted to establish the direction of developing windows and forecast effectively the adequate insulation performance level through the performance identification of each component of a window. Based on the insulation performance of windows tested for the high-efficiency appliance certification program, this study presented the pattern of insulation performance change according to the component change after comparatively analyzing each window’s general performance value as acquired according to the materials, opening and closing types, and glass composition change. For the window frame materials, plastic was 58%, and aluminum, 34%. For the opening and closing types by frame material, the curtain wall type was approximately 32% in the case of the aluminum window the 2-track sliding type was 46% in the case of plastic window, thereby taking up the largest share in terms of material. In terms of the criterion as the mean value of insulation performance of the selected and tested windows, aluminum windows met the criterion when Low-e glass was applied. Plastic windows also met the criterion when the thickness of the gas-filling layer was increased to 12mm.
초기 설계단계에서 비틀림 형태 건물의 BIM기반 에너지 성능 평가 기술 개발

Building energy performance evaluation is required in the design stage to ensure a target energy consumption for a proposed design. However, in an early design stage, a building performance evaluation is very limited due to insufficient building data for systems and constructions. The aim of this study is to develop an energy performance evaluation method for a building with twisted shape in early design stage. This study utilizes parametric modeling and BIM based interoperability between an architectural model and a building energy analysis model. This study develops a geometry simplification method for a building with a twisted shape based on parameters in early design stage. The simplified geometry information is transferred to an analysis model through interoperability protocol, e.g., gbXML. Iterative simulations are conducted based on specified design parameter with a range. This study established a building energy performance evaluation process in early design stage and could derive the best building shape for energy performance.

Recently, interest of indoor air quality in children's center is increasing. However, a indoor air quality studies related microorganisms have not been reported yet. For this reason, we investigated the status of indoor air microorganisms in children's center and seasonal variance. Based on this, we analyzed contamination causes and have applied improvement strategies. The study showed that indoor mold concentration was decreased after applying air-cleaner, disinfection, sterilization and environmental-friendly building materials change. On the other hand, air-cleaner, remodeling and plan change showed the effect of bacteria concentration reduction.

Currently, large amounts of energy have been consumed in every parts of industry. Especially, energy consumption in the building sector account for 40% of energy consumption worldwide. Therefore, reduction of energy consumption and efficiency improvement in buildings are very important issue ill worldwide. For building energy savings, we need to evaluate energy performance in design stage and operation stage with optimized alternatives. However, building energy efficiency improvement technologies in building operation stage is still not matured. For better understanding of building energy performance with operation schemes, we studied an approach for building energy performance with a change of building operation according to daylighting. In this study, first, we investigated building information to implement energy analysis. Then, we generated an energy analysis model and conducted building energy performance evaluation with various building operation alternatives. Based on this approach, we conducted a case study to research building energy saving potential according to daylighting in operation stage.
