최근 매실(Prunus mume, Japanese apricot) 산업은 재배면적 및 생산량의 증가와 소비자 선호도 하락에 의해서 위축되고 있는 상황에 직면해있어서 매실 가공산업 육성을 통하여 소비를 촉진할 필요가 있다. 효율적인 매실가공을 위해서는 우선 자동화된 매실씨 분리 시스템의 개발이 필요하므로, 본 연구에서는 매실씨 분리시스템 개발의 첫 단계로 매실의 물리적, 기하학적 특성을 분석하고 씨 분리 요인실험을 실시하였다. 옥영 품종에서 매실의 무게와 기하학적 크기의 관계를 분석한 결과 매실의 무게는 매실의 단경과 가장 밀접한 상관관계를 나타냈다. 원형 봉을 이용한 매실씨 분리 실험에서 봉 끝 부분이 오목한 것이 편평한 것보다 성능이 양호했다. 완숙한 매실의 씨분리에서 약해진 과육 경도 때문에 씨가 외과피를 관통하지 못하고 매실 내부에서 회전하는 현상도 발생하였으므로, 익은 매실의 씨 분리에 대처하기 위해서는 매실 아래 부분의 외과피를 일부절개하여 씨 배출구를 마련해 줄 필요가 있다. 매실씨 분리 봉에 칼날을 부착하여 씨 분리와 과육절단 작업을 동시에 하는 실험을 실시하였다. 상부외과피 관통, 하부외과피 관통 및 과육 절단 과정으로 진행되었다. 각각의 상태에서 필요한 힘은 4.93 ± 3.00, 14.28 ± 5.18 및 7.48 ± 1.56 kgf으로 측정되었다. 씨 분리 과정에서 봉 단면적과 내과피에 부착된 섬유질의 영향으로 과육손실이 발생하였다. 직경 8 mm의 봉으로 씨 분리를 실시한 경우, 씨 분리 전의 매실 무게와 씨 분리 후의 과육 무게 비율은 옥영, 청축 및 남고 품종에서 각각 65.4 ± 5.7, 66.4 ± 4.4 및 70.6 ± 5.4%이었다.

Purpose : This study was investigated effects of vibration on scapular winging of knee push-up plus exercise. Methods : Twenty-eight female subjects with scapular winging were evaluated after performing knee push-up plus exercise, with or without vibration, three times a week for four weeks. Muscle activation of the serratus anterior and upper trapezius, and the ratio of activation of the upper trapezius to serratus anterior were measured using surface EMG; and scapular winging length was measured by using the caliper. Results : The findings showed that knee push-up plus exercise -with and without- vibration induced a significant increase in muscle activation of serratus anterior (p<.05) and a significant decrease in muscle activation of the upper trapezius (p<.05), the ratio of muscle activation of the upper trapezius to the serratus anterior (p<.05) and scapular winging length (p<.05). There was also a significant difference in muscle activation of the serratus anterior (p<.05) and upper trapezius (p<.05) between control and experimental group at post-test. Conclusion : This study suggests positive clinical effects of knee push-up plus exercise with vibration which enhanced muscle activation of serratus anterior and reduced muscle activation of upper trapezius in person with scapular winging. However, vibration had no effectiveness to improve muscle imbalance between serratus anterior and upper trapezius, and reduce the scapular winging length.
앉기자세에서 실시한 가상현실 균형훈련이 뇌졸중 환자의 앉기 균형 및 일상생활활동 능력에 미치는 영향

Purpose : This study examined the effects of balance training using virtual reality program on sitting balance ability and activities of daily living (ADL) in stroke patients. Method : In the study, 20 patients with hemiplegia were divided into two groups: experiment group (EG) of 10 patients and control group(CG) of 10 patients. The two groups received general occupational therapy for 30 minutes, per day, at a rate of 5 times per week for 6 weeks. The EG was additionally conducted which was performed virtual reality balance training and the CG was conducted general occupational therapy balance training for 30-minutes, once a day, 3 times a week for 6 weeks. Result : The evaluations of this study included: limit of stability(LOS), modified Functional Reach Test(mFRT), and modified Barthel Index(MBI). The patients were evaluated before and after their six week training programs. Significant differences in the LOS, mFRT, MBI were found between pretest and posttest scores in both the EG and CG groups(p<.05). Also, LOS, mFRT, MBI were significant different between the groups at post-test(p<.05). Conclusion : The study findings suggest that virtual reality balance training can improve sitting balance and ADL ability in stroke patients.
뇌졸중 환자에 대한 기능적 전기 자극치료를 병행한 거울치료가 상지 기능수행과 일상생활활동에 미치는 효과

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of mirror therapy with functional electrical stimulation to improve upper extremity motor function and activities of daily living (ADL) in stroke patients. Method : Thirty patients were randomly assigned to the experimental and control groups 15 patients in each. All subjects received the general occupational therapy consisting of five 30 min sessions per week for 8 weeks, in addition to 30 min of mirror therapy with functional electrical stimulation for the experimental group and 30 min of functional electrical stimulation for the control group for each session. To measure the functions of the upper limb and performance capacities in ADL, the Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA), and Manual Function Test (MFT), Modified Barthel Index (MBI) were used before and after the interventions. Results : Both the experimental and control groups showed a statistically significant increase in post-treatment FMA, MFT and MBI scores compared to their pre-treatment scores (p<.05). In addition, intergroup comparisons revealed a statistically significant increase in the scores of all assessments for the experimental group compared to those for the control group (p<.05). Conclusion : Based on these results, it is reasonable to conclude that mirror therapy with functional electrical stimulation is an effective intervention for improving upper limb motor function and ADL performance in stroke patients.
