In the deep drawing of sheet metal the defects such as wrinkling, folding and tearing should be eliminated by properly designed tools. The draw beads are especially one of the most important elements in the control the material flow and thus the product quality can be dependent on the shape and location of the draw-beads in the sheet metal forming process. In this study, arc draw-bead has been introduced in order to investigate the material flow in deep drawing of cup with hemisphere bottom profile semi-spherical shaped vessel using rectangular initial blank. The shape of draw-bead is circular type and its main purpose is to delegate the material flow in the four sides of the square blank. Minimization of the waste material of the initial blank can be accomplished by using proper location and shape of arc draw-bead. DEFORM-3D commercial software is used for FE analysis in the deep drawing of hemisphere cup with spec sheet material.

The mega-projects that are Ocean plant, seawater desalination, nuclear power generation, etc are recently gaining the world's interest. The projects are certain to need surge relief valve that is one of the elements for the safety of the plant system. The surge relief valve is a safety device to protect surge pressure such as water hammer. Water Hammer is caused by sudden changes in flow. In recent years Pumping Systems have become large scale and surge relief valve have become large scale. disc seal that is important parts of surge relief valve have effect on quality. Disc seal with disc and disc seat are served as sealing function in the surge relief valve. The sealing force on the disc seal is analyzed by the FEM and design values are optimized by using the Taguchi method.

Body is served as connecting pipe and supporting disk. Body is analyzed by the FEM, and the results are compared with effects of related design factors that are variations of radius in valve body.

Asymmetrical and unbalanced features such as rotor blade of helicopter, actuator of hard-disk in personal computer are usually manufactured with composite materials. In this case, mass distributions and center of gravity of the parts are important because of their static balancing. Therefore in the manufacturing processes, it is needed to check out the exact data of weight and gravity center. In this study, it has been studied experimentally the balancing of laminated rotor blade by using multiple-point weighing method and lab-view system.
