In the modern construction industry, since numerous skyscrapers have been built, there have been sought for developing various kinds of methods for shortening a construction period. Therefore, many kinds of studies on some kinds of cold-weather concrete have been conducted actively for the purpose of a year-round construction. Accordingly, this research team once developed a double-layered bubble sheet as a surface-coated curing material for winter. And there have been raised some worries that some initial damages to frozen concrete caused by low temperature of reinforcing bars which are exposed out of the wall areas of a wall-type apartment during winter. Therefore, in this study, it is intended to find out clearly whether it is possible for concrete to be damaged initially or not by analyzing the temperature characteristics of the exposed reinforcing bars of the wall areas under the temperature conditions during winter.

Ways to efficiently manufacture gloss exposed mass concrete at an inexpensive price, in other words, ways to paste transparent transfer paper onto the surface of a combined mold has been designated as New Technology Article 191 by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. But if the difference in the coefficient of linear expansion between the mold`s and transfer paper`s material causes temperature to rise or fall, a wrinkly surface can appear. Therefore this study, by experimentally comparing the deformation characteristics between the mold material and transfer paper material upon changes in temperature, seeks to serve as a basic reference point for selecting the optimal transfer paper for different mold types. Study results revealed that for molds, polyester resin transfer paper is optimal, and for aluminum molds, acrylic resin transfer paper is.

This study aims to analyze the properties of the temperature change in vertical reinforcements in outdoor wall structures in winter in relation to the different methods of bubble sheet installation, and to subsequently determine the possibility of initial frost damage to the concrete as a result of low temperature. As for the experimental variables, double bubble sheets were used as curing materials, and the curing method was to model the part where the slab and the wall intersect and the rebar is exposed, and to measure the change of temperature around the exposed rebar in accordance with the change of the coating curing. It was found that by employing curing method B, which is to install the bubble sheet between the vertical reinforcements, the most vulnerable area, which is 50mm below(④) the surface of the concrete, would be lowered to sub-zero temperature 20 hours later than when using curing method A, and that therefore it is more effective to install the bubble sheet between the vertical reinforcements for the prevention of initial frost damage.

This study aims to identify temperature characteristics of exposed reinforcement by position in relation to the change in coating curing method of bubble sheet under Winter climate condition and suggest efficient insulation coating method of exposed reinforcement with wall structure. As experiment variables, water-cement ratio(W/C) 50 %, target slump 150 ± 25 mm, target air volume 4.5 ± 1.5 % were mix designed like the general construction site, and 2-layered bubble sheet was used as curing material. We planned changes in 4 types of surface-covered curing methods by modeling parts where slab and wall cross over and exposed reinforcement is constructed. As a result, curing method D, which coated bubble sheet on exposed reinforcement front, was identified as most superior in preventing early-frost damage, but B method, which cut out and coated bubble sheet by bar spacing, was also deemed outstanding if we additionally consider the efficiency and convenience of construction.
