For the insulation design of a high temperature superconducting(HTS) cable, three kinds of design method were proposed, which used AC and impulse withstand voltage and partial discharge inception strength. However, the designed insulation thickness by AC and impulse could not be applied to cable fabrication process due to much low electrical breakdown strength. The effect of the multi-layered insulation paper was not considered on the previous insulation design and the insulation thickness by partial discharge inception strength could be applied only. In this paper, the electrical breakdown characteristic, which considered the effect of multi-layered of LPP, was investigated to design the insulation thickness.

최근 친환경 전력기기의 개발이 대두됨에 따라 유입변압기에 있어서도 현재 많은 환경오염 문제를 야기하고 있는 광유를 대체할 수 있는 친환경 식물성절연유에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있으며, 뛰어난 생분해성, 우수한 절연특성 및 고갈 걱정이 없고 안정적 공급 가능 등의 장점을 살려 그 우수성을 인정받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 유입변압기에 식물성절연유를 적용하기 위한 기초연구로서 변압기의 절연구성 및 운전조건 등을 모의하여 온도변화에 따른 식물성절연유의 절연파괴 특성을 조사하고 광유의 절연성능과 비교하였다.

전기화재의 원인분석을 위해 단락흔은 중요한 단서를 제공할 수 있으며, 기존의 연구에서는 금속조직 및 외형 등을 분석함으로써 1, 2차 단락흔 여부를 판정하고 있다. 한편, 화재 시 다양한 환경변화로 인해 금속조직 및 외형은 다양한 변수가 존재하고, 이러한 이유로 객관적인 전기화재 여부를 판정하기에는 어려움이 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 유기물이 탄화되면서 생성되는 탄소의 결정을 분석하여 1, 2차 단락흔을 구별하고, 이를 전기화재 감정기법에 적용 가능 여부를 검토하고자 한다.
탄소섬유 차폐케이블용 접속재의 환경열화에 따른 절연특성

Carbon fiber, because of difficulty in maintaining its shape, is required extra care in connections, and its problem is that fiber can easily break due to the binding post-tensioning force. So, a new type of screened cable connector which can reduce carbon fiber’s breaking or cutting and also minimize contact resistance in connections needs to be developed. In this paper, a conductive spring-applied, gland-type cable connector was designed and manufactured, and its applicability was reviewed through measurement of contact resistance of the connector.

This paper deals with the thermal and mechanical properties of ceramic coating material for bus bars. A ceramic coated samples were prepared for the mechanical properties test. There are two types of samples. One is a square shape and the other is a busbar shape. Each sample was deteriorated for 30 days to compare the thermal and mechanical properties with the non-degraded samples. Two thermal properties tests are TGA and flammability tests, and four mechanical properties tests are drop impact test, cross cut, tensile test, and bend test. The ceramic coating material was never damaged by impact and did not separate from aluminum in the cross cut test. In the tensile test, the breakage of the insulating material did not occur until aluminum fractured, and the breakage of the insulating material did not occur until the maximum load in the bending test. The decomposition temperature (melting point) of the ceramic coating material was higher than that of other epoxy insulators. This ceramic coating material is nonflammable and it has excellent fire stability.
전기안전분야 : 식물성절연유를 사용한 친환경 주상변압기 설계를 위한 절연파괴 특성

In recent years, environmental concems have been raised on the use of poorly biodegradable fluids in electrical apparatus in regions where spills from leaks and equipment failure could contaminate the surroundings. The newly invented vegetable insulating oil is highly biodegradable and have negligible impact on the environment, human health and the ecosystem. For development of the enwironmental-friendly pole transformer using vegetable insulating oil, the dielectric constructions of the pole transformer were discussed in this paper. Depending on the dielectric constructions, the AC breakdown characteristics of the Nomex insulating papers and the vegetable insulating oil were studied by simulated electrode systems. Based on the experimental results, the maximum design stress(E(max)) for insulation design of the environmental-friendly pole transformer were suggested.

To minimize the financial loss due to power facility malfunction, on-line diagnostic techniques are required to grasp any abnormal state of facilities in the live line as well as devices to diagnose abnormal states of power facility in an easy and prompt manner. This study aims to develop a portable UV detecting system by means of UV sensors for easier and efficient inspection of the degradation state of power facility in a long distance. Accordingly, it includes a simulation of corona discharges that may occur due to degradation of power facility and detection of ultraviolet pulse generation depending on the corona discharge intensity and measuring distance in application of UV sensors. Additionally, the optimal algorithm is determined for its application to the systems degradation diagnosis program based on the measured experiment data.
