In 1995 statistical data, Taiwan tea area is 21,554 hectares, predominantly in the north and central parts of the island. The main tea plantions are Taipei, Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Miaoli, Nantou, Chiayi, Yunlin, Hwalien and Taitung Counties. Taiwan's climate is subtropical, with an average annual temperature, 20 to 21˚C and annual rainfall, is over than 2000mm. Texture is Volcanic soil and altitude, 300m. Taiwan major tea varieties are Chinsin Oolong by 48%` Chinsin Dapan and TTES N0. 12. Some Production and consumption data of Taiwan tea are as follows : production, 20,892 tons ; yield, 1,048㎏/ha ; exports, 3,172 tons ; consumption, 1,210g/person in 1995. Taiwan production revenues are relatively high but, expenses are too high : production worth 48,492us$/ha, Total costs 35,520US$/ha, and Net revenue 12,972US$/ha in Shyu, 1993. Tea marketing channels in Taiwan are multiple, particularly the tea factories of midium scale production with 48% of total marketing and farm's Organzation with 5%. In Taiwan, the manufacture of diverse tea products, such as instant tea, tea candy, tea powder, fruit tea, and caky tea etc and traditional tea have developed.
공간기후모형을 이용한 나주지역 배 개화기 일 최저기온 예보

2004년부터 2005년까지 복잡 지형에 위치한 나주지역 배 과수원에 대하여 광역적 기후 지형 모형을 적용, 일 최저 기온의 공간분포를 정밀 추정함으로써 서리 경고 시스템의 정확성을 향상시키고자 하였다. 2004년 봄, 세 곳의 배 과수원에 대해 모형을 적용한 결과, 관측값과 일치함을 보여 주었고 예측력은 기상청 예측 결과보다 더 향상되었다. 실측과 모형에 의한 일 최저 기온의 차이는 골짜기에서 -2.1~+2.7℃ (평균 -0.4℃), 강변에서 -1.6~+2.7℃(평균 -0.4℃), 구릉지에서 -1.1~+3.5℃(평균 0.6℃)였다. 냉기침강 효과가 크고 서리 내습 가능성이 높은 골짜기와 강변의 오차가 크게 줄어들었다. To improve the accuracy of frost warning system for pear orchard in a complex terrain in Naju area, the daily minimum temperature forecasted by Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) was interpolated using a regional climate model based on topoclimatic estimation and optimum scale interpolation from 2004 to 2005. Based on the validation experiments done for three pear orchards in the spring of 2004, the results showed a good agreement between the observed and predicted values, resulting in improved predictability compared to the forecast from Korea Meteorological Administration. The differences between the observed and the predicted temperatures were -2.1~2.7℃ (on average -0.4℃) in the valley, -1.6~2.7℃ (on average -0.4℃) in the riverside and -1.1~3.5℃ (on average 0.6℃) in the hills. Notably, the errors have been reduced significantly for the valley and riverside areas that are more affected by the cold air drainage and more susceptible to frost damage than hills.

Maxillary sinusitis is the inflammation of the mucosal lining of a maxillary sinus cavity. This study was performed for the purpose of classification and grading of the chronic maxillary sinusitis. Total 58 cases received for pathologic examination from January 1977 to July 1978, were the material. Authors classified the chronic maxillary sinusitis as edematous, infiltrative fibrous, cystic and mixed type and graded as Grade Ⅰ, Ⅱ and Ⅲ. The results were obtained as follows. 1) Mixed type was the most common histologic classification as 25 cases (60.3%). 2) Grade Ⅱ was the most common grading 37 cases (63.9%).
