노인의 사회 인구학적특성 및 생활체육 참여정도가 정신건강에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to exam the relationship between elderly adults's participating in physical exercise and mental health. The subject of this study were elderly adults living in Busan in 2008 who have participated in physical exercise for 3 months. Then, 267 subjects were selected with convenience sampling. The inquiry methods were 'multi-dimensional self-report symptom inventory', which was invented by Derogatis(1976), and 'the symptom check list-90-revision : SCL-90-R', which was invented by behavior science laboratory in Korea university, and the questionnaire of Oh, Jung-Hee. The questionnaire were modified properly for this study based on previous studies. By using the 't-test' and one-way 'ANOVA' and Duncan test as post-hoch test , there are following conclusion of difference of mental health. 1) In terms of level of education, the elderly adults who graduate high school or college were healthier in mind than the other elderly adults who graduate elementary school or not, In terms of eating habit, normally eating group and regular eating group were healthier than irregular, very irregular, and very regular eating groups, In terms of number of family, there were no correlation found and In terms of regular income, there were no correlation found. According to the kinds of a spouse, a group which was parted by death and another group which was living together were healthier than the other group which was divorced. 2) Frequency of attending physical exercise did not effect on mental health but the longer the period of physical exercise was, the more mental health was effected. and the more the time of physical exercise was, the more mental health was affected.
