Geometric modeling system is a fundamental module in the CAD/CAM system. Solid model that has the richest data of the other modeling schemes can be applied to many application field. Solid model represents complete geometric and topological information. Boundary representation scheme is appropriate for a PC level solid modeling system. This study develops the boundary representation based PC level solid modeling system. We implemented the Boolean set operation between two solids for providing powerful CSG like input facility. One of the system characteristics is that uses NURBS information for modeling solid part with partially free from surface.

Three-dimensional surface modeling and manufacturing techniques play an important role in the design and manufacturing automobile panels. NC method leads to high quality and accuracy in the manufacturing the metal mold of the automobile panel. To adopt NC method, the system may generate not only fairing surface with free form but also tool path for the free form surface. In this study, an expert system is developed so that can be used in the design and manufacturing the metal mold of the automobile body panel.

Separate implementation of the dasign and manufacturing blocks the flow of automated design and manufacturing and greatly increases the product life cycle time, and consequently makes the integration of design and maunfactuing activities highly desirable. Process planning, a linkage activity between design and manufacturing, translates the design information into manufacturing language. Feature-based automated process planning is considered as linkage between design and manufacturing. In this study, the generation of the manufacturing information is created by adopting the concept of feature. The feature-based modeling is implemented in the feature-based modeler developed in this study.

This study is a system development of CMP (Computer Management Program) that concurrently take care of related task, referencing geometry information that engineer designed a model digital geometry information and that constructs a integrated database on apply at each other group in concurrent engineering environment. This study laid emphasis on a concept of CE(Concurrent Engineering) and can be can out related task seeing designed geometry model. It can be certification that development system is very useful to introduce a concept of CE.
3차원 자유곡면 모델링 및 NC 가공데이타 생성에 관한 연구

Machine design has been influenced heavily by the CAD technology, and similarly manufacturing has undergone major changes with the intorduction of numerically controlled(NC) machine tools. Integration of CAD and CAM is a important aspects manufacturing automation. This study has been conducted to develope the CAD/CAM system for the automatic generation of part program from geometric model of machine parts automatically. The results obtained from the study are as follows : 1. The CAD system which can process graphic procedure from the geometric data of sculpture surface developed with PC. 2. The main program for the CAM was developed. This progrom can procedure gemetric model data from Auto CAD data file. 3. The main program can control a surface with control point, and can procedure CL data from surface data, and can generate NC cord from CL data.
비구면렌즈 설계를 위한 칼코게나이드 Ge-Sb-Se 광학계 및 결정화 특성 연구

The recent development of electro-optic devices and anticorrosion media has led to the necessity to investigate infrared optical systems with solid-solid interfaces of materials that often have the characteristic of amorphousness. One of the most promising classes of materials for those purposes seems to be the chalcogenide glasses. Chalcogenide glasses, based on the Ge-Sb-Se system, have drawn a great deal of attention because of their use in preparing optical lenses and transparent fibers in the range of 3~12 um. In this study, amorphous Ge-Sb-Se chalcogenide for application in an infrared optical product design and manufacture was prepared by a standard melt-quenching technique. The results of the structural, optical and surface roughness analysis of high purity Ge-Sb-Se chalcogenide glasses are reported after various annealing processes.
차량제동시 Jerk 감소를 위한 제동력 제어에 관한 연구

AbstractIn the study, a scheme on the brake force control Suppressing a Jerk under a vehicle stop was proposed.The effect of control variables on I,he brake force control and its effectiveness were investigated through the numerical Simulation.The Vehicle dynamics was analized by a linear set of four degrees of freedom, and was applied to the method decreasing the brake pressure for a short time.The technique of the brake force control reducing the brake pressure for an instant have a great effect on the vibration control towards being in progress.The effectiveness of the reduction of the brake pressure after a Vehicle stop is lessened in contrast with the decrease of the brake pressure before a stop.The maximum increment of the brake distance caused by the reduction of the brake pressure was twenty milimeter at the the time of 0.1 second, and thus, has a negligible effect on the Vehicle Jerk.
