A Simple Smoother for Attitude and Position Estimation using Inertial Sensor

This paper proposes a simple smoother algorithm for inertial sensor-based motion tracking. It is assumedthat the motion consists of moving and non-moving intervals such as golf swing, which consists of not-moving (beforeswing), moving (swing), not-moving (after swing) intervals. A computationally efficient suboptimal smoothingalgorithm is proposed. The proposed algorithm can be used in the application with limited computational powerlike in a smartphone application. Through a simulation and two experiments, the proposed algorithm is verified.
Distance Estimation Using Inertial Sensor and Vision

A simple distance estimation algorithm using inertial sensors and a mono camera is proposed. Two images of a target are obtained by moving a mono camera. The movement of the camera is estimated using inertial sensors and used as the baseline for the distance estimation. Through experiments, the accuracy of the proposed method is evaluated, where the distance error is 3.9% on average in a few meter ranges.
Inertial Motion Tracking Using Sensor Saturation Compensation with l1 Norm Regularization

A smoother is proposed for inertial sensor-based motion tracking, where the sensor saturation is compensated. The sensor saturation estimation term is added using l1 norm regularization techniques to the standardsmoothing problem. The proposed algorithm is in the form of a quadratic optimization problem. Three slightlydifferent methods are proposed, where the geometric models on sensor saturation are slightly different. Throughsimulation and experiments, it is shown that the proposed method effectively compensates the sensor saturation.

We fabricated closely packed monolayer of hydrophobically modified non-porous silica (NPS) beads at air/water interface. Hydrophilic silica beads were modified by hydrocarbon that render hydrophobic on their surface. Ultra-sound applied to the water subphase, inducing large scaled two-dimensional ordering of the beads by reducing three-dimensional irregular cluster formations while spreading solvent evaporated. Furthermore, surface pressure generated by polymeric surface micelle effectively pushes the silica beads and reduces voids between the 2D silica clusters. 2010 The Korean Society of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry. This study evaluates GMDB(Guaranteed Minimum Death Benefit) put option of variable-universal life product with Black-Scholes option pricing model. The result is that first, life insurance company should prepare the contingency plan in regarding to investment risk of GMDB. Second, the fee for GMDB is divided by operating fund types. It means that the company consider volatility of underlying asset. According to analyzing GMDB rate as of reserve in equity fund type with between B-S model and Korean standard model, their rates are 42.14% and 2.539% respectively as of after 50years. Third, the company should establish the guide-line of standard for GMDB fee by progressing. At last, the company accumulate historical data of GMDB fee and update its data. and also, setting the internal networking to enact from market scenario formerly.
