Transmission area of physical contain cultural situation, and reflect form of area peoples' history that transmission. When associate with specific region and theories of predecessors transmission in gear with area festival, can speak that may approach to large meaning to the area peoples in terms of can show emotion which the area peoples share and or necessarily necessary a premise is to promote activation of area festival and voluntary participation of local resident.Danjong festival who is representative area festival of Kang-won do Yeongwolji station was held because do Danjong legend transmission in area to basis, and area peoples' history cognition who see Danjong has been been filled. This becomes factor that have regional distinction other area differentiate. But, this point of being held Danjong festival is not be known properly current. Develop contents that do Danjong legend for Danjong festival continuous growth to subject, and have to succestion area nature and tradition of posting various program on surrounding laying stress on this. 지역축제는 해당 지역 문화의 동질성과 특수성을 공감할 수 있는 몇 안 되는 중요한 장(場)이다. 과거에 비해 다양한 내용의 지역축제를 접할 수 있게 되었음에도 불구하고, 지역민들의 입장에서 보면 지역문화자원과의 연계 곧 지역축제의 지역성이 근본적으로 부족한 실정이다. 이러한 입장에서 지역축제를 개최하는 해당 지역의 ‘지역성’을 확보해줄 수 있는 방편으로 ‘전설’을 생각해 볼 수 있다.전설은 어느 한 지역을 중심으로 전승되기 때문에, 지역민들과 어떻게든 연계되어 있다. 전승되는 지역의 물리적문화적 상황을 담고 있으며, 전승하는 지역민들의 역사의식을 반영하고 있다. 특정 지역과 연계되어 전승되는 전설이 지역축제와 맞물릴 때, 지역민들이 공유한 정서를 보여줄 수 있다는 점에서 지역민들에게는 큰 의미로 다가갈 수 있을 것이며, 지역축제의 활성화와 지역주민의 자발적인 참여를 촉진시키는 데 반드시 필요한 전제조건이라 할 수 있다.강원도 영월지역의 대표적인 지역축제인 단종제는 지역에서 전승되는 단종전설을 기초로 하여 개최되었으며, 단종을 바라보는 지역민들의 역사인식이 담겨져 있다. 이는 단종제가 다른 지역과 차별되는 지역적 변별성을 가지게 되는 요인이 된다. 그러나 현재 개최되고 있는 단종제는 이러한 점이 제대로 부각되지 않고 있다. 단종제의 지속적인 성장을 위해서는 단종전설을 주제로 하는 내용을 개발하고, 이를 중심으로 주변에 다양한 프로그램을 배치하여 지역성과 전통성을 살려나가야 할 것이다.

해양 인물 이야기의 대중적 확산을 위한 스토리텔링 방안 - 장보고와 이사부를 중심으로

문화콘텐츠 가운데 한국 전체나 특정 지역과 연계되어 있으며, 이미 대중성을 확보하고 있거나 확보할 필요가 있는 문화콘텐츠는 역사적 인물을 대상으로 한 것이다. 특히 해양 인물과 관련해서 대표적인 것은 ‘이사부(異斯夫)’와 ‘장보고(張 保皐)’ 관련 문화콘텐츠다. 이사부는 일본과 마찰을 빚고 있는 울릉도 독도와 관 련해서 주목을 받고 있고, 장보고는 동아시아 해상무역을 장악한 역사적 인물이라 는 데서 범국가적인 차원에서 의미를 부여하고 있다. 그러나 해양 인물을 대상으로 하는 문화콘텐츠는 ‘역사적 실존 인물’이라는 특 수성으로 인해 순수한 창작으로만 완성하는 문화콘텐츠와 다르다. 바로 ‘역사적 사실’과 ‘허구’와의 거리 문제가 있기 때문이다. 역사적 실존 인물이기에 해양 인 물을 대상으로 한 문화콘텐츠는 역사적 사실성을 간과할 수 없다. 한편, 해양 인 물에 대한 전체적인 이미지나 형상화에는 학술적 결과물에 의해서만 규정되어지 는 것이 아니다. 얼마만큼의 대중적 인지도와 지지도를 확보하는 가도 중요하다. 이러한 시점에서 고민해야 하는 것은 해양 인물을 어떻게 문화콘텐츠로 개발해 야 그 의미를 제대로 전달할 수 있으며, 문화콘텐츠 수용자들의 입장에서 제대로 수용할 수 있을 것인가의 문제다. 필자는 그 해답을 스토리텔링에서 찾고 싶다. 스토리텔링은 이야기를 만들어 전달하는 내용과 기술, 매체를 아우르는 일종의 서 사방식이다. 스토리텔링을 통한 문화콘텐츠의 개발로 해양 인물을 다양하게 이야기할 수 있고, 대중들과의 소통의 폭을 넓 힐 수 있다. 이를 위해서는 해양 인물 관련 연구자와 지방자치단체, 지역민들의 역할이 매우 중요하다. Amongst many cultural contents, the definite cultural contents which has wide popularity and related to Koreain general and specific area and requiring firm security is the cultural contents regarding historic figures. Especially, with regards to people of ocean, Jangbogo and Leesabu are the representative cultural contents. Leesabu was drawn attention in relation to Dokgo, and Ulrungdo which currently caused trouble with Japan. Jangbogo has significance as a historic figure due to his previous occupancy over East Asia overseas trade in pan-state perspective. However, cultural contents that only dealingwith people of ocean is different from creative cultural contents as it is based on ‘historically existed real people’. That’s exactly a problem of ‘historical fact’ and ‘fiction’. Because they are historically existed people, cultural contents dealing with people of ocean cannot disregard historical truth. Nonetheless, overall image or a projection of people of ocean is not defined by theoretical result but is also important to secure public support and awareness. At this point, what needs consideration is, how to develop cultural contents regarding people of ocean to effectively convey its meaning and, whether the readers of cultural contents can actually perceive the story. The author wishes to find its answers from storytelling. Storytelling is a kind of narration method to embrace story contents, skills and the medium. It enables totell the story of people of ocean in various ways and expand the range of communication to public. For this to work, researchers for people of ocean, local community, and local citizen’s support are very important.
