The Blasius series solutions have been applied to solve the Moore s transformed boundary layer equattons over a yawed cone in the supersonic stream. The tangential blowing in the circumferential direction has been considered as the boundary condition, and the maximum blowing speed is 0.1 which has been non-dimensionalized as the circumferential velocity at the edge of the boundary layer. The results show that; F function related to meridional velocity in the windward plne of symmetry Ψ function related to circumferential velocity in the a) The application of series solutions makes the nonlinear partial differential equations into the linear ordinary differential equations except those in the windward plane of symmetry where the differential equations are greatly simplifled. b) The solutions in the windward plane of symmetry with the 10 percent circumferential blowing indicate that the heat transfer rate to the wall increases 10 percent compared to that of no T668blowing. c) The tangential blowing, therefore, can not be used as means of cooling the wall. However, the cooling of the wall may be achieved by the blowing of cooled air.

In the previously reported Part I and Part II, the experimental results in the frictional machining under liquid atmospheres to obtain the best surface roughness were showed. In the present study the frictional machining was carried out in gas atmospheres such as air, oxygen, dioxide carbon and argon, and in solid lubricant atmosphere of graphite powder. The results were compared with those of Part I and Part II. The material to be tested and machining conditions were made identical with Part I and Part II. The best surface roughness obtained in the above gas and solid lubricant atmospheres was worse than the liquid atmospheres but the contact pressure to minimize the surface roughness was considerably low. The best surface roughness in the present study was obtained in the atmospheres of dioxide carbon and graphite powder and the worst one was in oxygen and argon gas.

In the previously reported Part I, the experimental results in frictional machining that finished medium carbon steel SM 50 C under 6 kinds of liquid atmospheres by using ceramic tip as a frictional tool was described. The present study reports the experimental results that all the machining conditions are same in the Part I except tool material changed ceramics into tungsten carbide. The ceramic tool material is a stable oxide and a non-metallic material, but the tungsten carbide has the metallic characteristics that adhere to carbon steel at about 750.deg.C. The present study shows th comparison of the experimental results for the above 2 kinds of frictional tool material.
