This objective of this study is to enrich the literature by the debt ratio and enterprise performance of Joint stock companies of Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (Vinacomin). The debt ratio is an important index of capital structure, and it influences and decides the enterprise performance. Therefore, the determination of reasonable debt ratio level is beneficial to the stable operation of Vinacomin's enterprises. Based on the research conclusion about the effect on capital structure of debt ratio from domestic and foreign scholar, collecting data from 2014-2018 of Vinacomin's enterprises as a research sample, the article conducts research on the relationship between debt ratio and business performance of Vinacomin, as measured by return on total Assets. In addition, the study uses free cash flow, company size, growth opportunity, investment opportunities, operating costs to sales ratio as control variables.The study shows the debt ratio of Joint stock companies of Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited has a negative effect on the enterprise performance. Furthermore, the research results of the article are references for Vinacomin' enterprises in the course of production and business activities, determining a reasonable debt ratio, and improving the operational performance of enterprises.

An Evaluation Method of Taekwondo Poomsae Performance

In this study, we formulated a method that evaluates Taekwondo Poomsae performance using a series of choreographed training movements. Despite recent achievements in 3D human pose estimation (HPE) performance, the analysis of human actions remains challenging. In particular, Taekwondo Poomsae action analysis is challenging owing to the absence of time synchronization data and necessity to compare postures, rather than directly relying on joint locations owing to differences in human shapes. To address these challenges, we first decomposed human joint representation into joint rotation (posture) and limb length (body shape), then synchronized a comparison between test and reference pose sequences using DTW (dynamic time warping), and finally compared pose angles for each joint. Experimental results demonstrate that our method successfully synchronizes test action sequences with the reference sequence and reflects a considerable gap in performance between practitioners and professionals. Thus, our method can detect incorrect poses and help practitioners improve accuracy, balance, and speed of movement.

Influences of Job Demands, Job Resources, Personal Resources, and Coworkers Support on Work Engagement and Creativity

Employee engagement plays an important role in the development as well as the success of a company. The manner in which employees are committed to their work and be more innovative seems to drive people’s curiosity. This study aims to analyze the impacts of job demandsresources, personal resources, and coworker support on work engagement. Also, whether there is a relationship between work engagement and creativity of employees is tested through this research. The data served for the research was collected in the context of Vietnamese small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The authors used structural equation modeling (SEM) (software Smart PLS), to test the proposed hypotheses by using the data of 602 employees. Results of the study point out that proposed antecedents influence work engagement and creativity. Such findings have shed light on both theory and practice implications. In theory, it supports the social exchange theory and the job demands and resources model. In practice, leaders should assist subordinates in various aspects and build and promote a corporate culture where employees help others with great enthusiasm to increase the level of work engagement and spirit of innovation of employees.

The Moderating Role of CSR Associations on the Link between Brand Awareness and Purchase Intention

This study uses the moderating model to explore the relationships between Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) associations, brand awareness and consumer purchase intention. Besides investigating the direct effects of CSR associations on brand awareness and consumer purchase intention, this study also focuses on discovering the moderating role of CSR associations on the relationship between brand awareness and consumer purchase intention among Vietnamese students. Adapting scales from previous research, the authors distribute questionnaires to consumers across the country. Then, the validity and reliability are tested via Cronbach's alpha, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Moreover, by employing a meta-analytical path analysis with a sample of 686 consumers, the authors show that CSR associations play an important role in shaping purchase intention among Vietnamese consumers regarding the consumption of organic milk products. Also, CSR associations have a strong effect on brand awareness. However, our study shows that purchase intention is not directly affected by brand awareness. In other words, brand awareness does not mediate the relationship between CSR associations and purchase intention. Interestingly, authors show that CSR associations moderate the link between brand awareness and consumer purchase intention. Based on the research, some recommendations are made to companies that produce organic milk products.

古今越南漢字與其未來

2천여 년 동안 한자를 사용한 베트남에는 지금까지도 한자의 영향이 닿지 않은 곳이 없다. 고대에 한자가 베트남의 다방면에 영향을 준 것은 부인할 수 없는 사실이다. 과거의 베트남은 한자를 ‘성현지자(聖賢之字)’, ‘재도지자(載道之字)’ 등으로 불렸고 그 위상이 매우 높아 문맹인 백성들은 한자가 적힌 폐지 한 조각을 보기만 하면 반드시 허리를 굽혀 줍는 등, ‘결석자지(敬惜 字紙, 문자가 적힌 종이를 귀하게 여기는 것)’의 문화가 존재했다. 반면, 지금의 베트남은 명승고 적, 절, 사원, 서적에 모두 한자가 적혀져 있지만 90%의 베트남인들은 자신의 조상들이 쓴 문자를 이해하지도 읽어내지도 한다. 베트남 학자들은 음수사원(飲水思源, 물을 마실 때는 그 근원을 생각하다. 즉 근본을 잊지 않다) 한 베트남 민족이 오늘에 이르러 ‘망본(忘本, 근본을 잃다)’하였음을 슬프지만 인정할 수밖에 없었다. 이로 인해 학자들은 서로 연합하여 베트남 정부에 한자의 재활성화를 요구했다. The influence of Chinese characters that have been used in Vietnam for more than two thousand years is being spread almost everywhere. In ancient times, the influence of Chinese characters on various aspects of Vietnam was not denied. In the past, Vietnamese named Chinese characters as ‘the word of sages’ and ‘the principle of the word’, and its status was highly respected. As the illiterate people saw a Chinese character on a small waste paper, they must be bent and took it, respectfully placed it on ‘the honorific achievements word paper’ ...Nowadays, in Vietnam’s places such as famous historic and cultural sites, temples, and literatures all have Chinese characters, but 90% of Vietnamese do not understand and can’t read their own characters. Vietnamese scholars sorrowfully believe that the ‘drinking water from the source’ has so far been “forgotten” and therefore jointly asked the Vietnamese government to revive Chinese characters.

Using solid carriers impregnated with ammonium ionic liquids for platinum(IV) recovery from chloride solutions

Platinum(IV) was extracted from chloride solution using kerosene solution of trioctyl ammonium chloride, methyltrioctylammonium chloride, and tetraoctyl ammonium chloride ionic liquids as solvents in high yields. To increase the Pt(IV) recovery and heterogenize the process for easy handling at industrial scale, these three ionic liquids were directly impregnated on some solid carriers, such as silica gel-60, silica gel-100, Amberlite XAD-7 ion-exchange resin, and Amberlite XAD-7 ion-exchange resin to form sorbents in nature of supported ionic liquid phase. The influence of some factors, such as ionic liquid and solid carrier structure, IL/Pt molar ratio, and ionic liquid loading as well as sorption isotherms, was investigated. The stripping and desorption of Pt(IV) using different eluents and reusability of ionic liquids and supported ionic liquid phases were also evaluated.

Access to Anti-smoking Information among School Children and its Potential Impact on Preventing Smoking Initiation: Results from the Global Youth Tobacco Use Survey (GYTS) 2014 in Viet Nam

Scientific evidence on all aspects of smoking amongst youth is very important for designing appropriate interventions to reduce smoking among this vulnerable population. This paper describes current access to anti-smoking information among school children aged 13 to 15 years in Vietnam in 2014 and examines its potential impact on preventing smoking initiation. The data used in this paper were obtained from the 2014 Global Youth Tobacco Survey (GYTS) in Vietnam. Students were asked questions about their level of awareness of anti-smoking information from various sources in the past 30 days and about lessons in school regarding the dangers of tobacco use during the last 12 months. Those who have never smoked were asked "whether or not they thought about avoiding cigarettes because of health warnings on cigarette packages" and answers were analyzed in combination with data on access to anti-smoking information from other sources. The prevalence of exposure to antismoking campaigns was high among school children in Viet Nam: 55.3% of current smokers reported thoughts of smoking cessation because of health warnings on cigarette packages; 60.5% of never smokers avoided initiating smoking because of the same health warnings. The potential impact of graphic health warnings to prevent school-aged children from smoking initiation would be stronger if there was concurrent access to anti-smoking programs on the dangers of tobacco use in schools. However, school education for tobacco prevention and control has not been as strong as expected. A more comprehensive school curriculum on tobacco prevention and control is recommended to reinforce antismoking messages among school children.

Acute Myocardial Infarction in Patients With Single Coronary Artery: A Case Report

A single coronary artery (SCA) is a rare congenital anomaly. In most cases, it is an incidental finding on coronary angiography and has no clinical significance. However, it can cause angina, myocardial infarction, or even sudden death. Reports of SCA with acute myocardial infarction are very rare in the medical literature. This case study presents a patient with SCA from the right aortic sinus with severe stenosis in the proximal and distal part of the right coronary artery, which was detected using cardiac angiography and cardiac multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) with acute myocardial infarction.

Effects of Maleic Anhydride Grafted Ethylene/Vinyl Acetate Copolymer (EVA)on the Properties of EVA/Silica Nanocomposites

Ternary nanocomposites based on ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), maleic anhydride-grafted EVA (EVAgMA), and nanosilica were prepared in a Haake Rheomixer. The structure of the EVA/EVAgMA/silica nanocomposites was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and field emission scanning electron microscopy. The blending sequence was found to have a significant effect on the microstructure of EVA/EVAgMA/silica nanocomposites and the dispersion behavior of the nanosilica in the EVA matrix. The tensile properties (tensile strength and elongation at break), thermal behavior, crystalline structure and weatherability of the nanocomposites were also studied. The results showed that the above properties of the nanocomposites were enhanced remarkably using 1 wt% EVAgMA.
