Understanding the Impact of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System on Accountants’ Work Performance

The primary purpose of this paper is to develop an ERP success model for only accountants, who have more increasingly intertwined relationship with ERP system (Newman & Westrup 2005). This model is based on D&M success theory and also emphasizes how important it is of ‘perceived accounting benefits’ and ‘trust in system’ in making accountants productive in ERP environment. In this regard, this is the first time that there is a study in relation to ERP and accountants’ work performance as at present. The study is expected to support in understanding the main drivers leading accountants to effectively adopt ERP system via developing an ERP success model for only accountants. The model proposed in this paper is unique as at present, there is no ERP success model for accountants, in the other words, there is no comprehensive theoretical and practical model for analyzing ERP adoption according to only accountants’ characteristics and perceptions.

This study is to research how much the physical fitness factors can influence the shooting records. I picked 14 sample measure items of physical fitness factors which had been proved to be closely related with each level of the shooting. And I applied these 14 sample items to the athletes who had secured over 85% records of the average record in the nationalsized tournaments. The results are as follows: 1. Such measure items as Sit-up, Breath-holding after 2´run in place at 180 steps per min., Leg Strength, and Standing with one foot in the state of closing one's eyes are proved to be correlated with shooting records. 2.In the analysis of variance between shooting records and measure items, I found out that such items as Sit-up, Breath-holing after 2´run in place at 180 steps per min., Leg Strength, and Standing with one foot in the state of closing one's eyes have correlations with the shooting records. 3. In the analysis of varance between shooting records and physical fitness factors, I got such results that some items such as Muscular Endurance (Chinning, Sit-up), and Respiratory Fitness (Vital Capacity, Breath-holding after 2´run in place at 180 steps per min.,) anr correlated with the shooting records.

D.H. Lawrence found the great tragedy of love from often quarrels between his father and mother. He also had many quarrels with his wife, Frieda. Why was the union of both sexes inharmonious? D.H. Lawrence persued the answer to the sexual problem and efforted for the sake of the perfection of his own self in his whole life. In his novels : The White Pecock, Sons and Lovers, The Rainbow, Women in Love, etc., Lawrence re-enacted plainly and artistically the opposition or struggle or feud of the self, and the aspects of the sexual life in the dimension of his experience and of actuality. Lawrence reflected the discord and the sad disillusionment of the sexual life which were influenced by extending marriage or the deception of the dark God who was mystical or the trusting love of his mate in his next novels: Aaron's Rod, Kangaroo, The Plumes Serpent, etc. In his later novels : Lady Chatterley's Lover, The Man who Died, etc., Lawrence attached dualistic to the lower self, the dark self, the phallic self. In such a stage, he idealized the phallic tenderness which was suggested in the above. Here was his faith of blood and flesh, that is converted to the universal life.

주 5일 수업에 대한 고등학생들의 여가활동 조사 연구

This study was to find out the way how high school students have participated in current leisure activities recently and to suggest directions to activate leisure activities efficiently in case of weekly 5-school day system. The subjects for this study were male and female students who were working at 8 high school in Seoul. The simple random sampling was used to collect the data. In this study, total 400 questionnaires were distributed and 397 were used for the analysis. For data analysis, SPSSWIN(Statistical Package for Social Science for Window) 10.0 was used. Especially, frequency analysis, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA and Scheffe's multiple range test were used. The results of current leisure participation by high school students are come out as the following: Boy students laid stress on leisure activities themselves but girl students thought leisure facilities important. During leisure activities, boy students spent time with their friends or by themselves while girl students did it with their friends or families. On weekdays and holidays, boy students were spending most of their time doing things for pleasure(like playing Baduk and reading cartoons) or for fulfilling their interests (like taking pictures), but girl students were doing things for pleasure or for social interaction. In spending leisure time, the high school students in their first year spent below 1 hour and those in their second year spent about 2 hours. Healthy students' perception for leisure activities were shown stronger than those for weak students. Healthy students did leisure activities to enjoy their lives while weak students did them in order to get rid of stress. The college entrance system was chosen as a big obstacle to enjoy their leisure activities for all sampled groups. The results of the analysis about leisure activities in case of proceeding with weekly 5-school day system are the following: During weekdays and holidays, boy students wanted to do sport activities and girl students wanted to enjoy sightseeing and cultural activities. Boy students and second year students wanted a billiard room to be installed in school while girl students and first year students wanted a lounge. Boy students spent most of their leisure time at home or in a PC room, while girl students did at home, in a park or a playground. On holidays, high school students in their first year wanted to do sports activities while those in their second year wanted to go to the cultural facilities or do sports activities. During a vacation, first year students wanted to do sports activities and things for pleasure, but those in second year wanted to enjoy sightseeing and cultural activities. I'd like to suggest some desirable directions for leisure activities based on the analysis of the survey result: First, by improving college entrance system, make high schools become places which students can learn with the whole person education. Second, by develope active and energetic programs in leisure activities, make students get a lot of experience of life and build more leisure facilities. Third, since boy students prefer sports activities and girl students are interested in tour or sightseeing in case of weekly 5-school day system, it's necessary to study how to cope with the situation.

Sleep Quality and Poor Sleep-related Factors Among Healthcare Workers During the COVID-19 Pandemic in Vietnam

Objectives: The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has increased the workload of healthcare workers (HCWs), impacting their health. This study aimed to assess sleep quality using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and identify factors associated with poor sleep among HCWs in Vietnam during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 1000 frontline HCWs were recruited from various healthcare facilities in Vietnam between October 2021 and November 2021. Data were collected using a 3-part self-administered questionnaire, which covered demographics, sleep quality, and factors related to poor sleep. Poor sleep quality was defined as a total PSQI score of 5 or higher. Results: Participants' mean age was 33.20±6.81 years (range, 20.0-61.0), and 63.0% were women. The median work experience was 8.54±6.30 years. Approximately 6.3% had chronic comorbidities, such as hypertension and diabetes mellitus. About 59.5% were directly responsible for patient care and treatment, while 7.1% worked in tracing and sampling. A total of 73.8% reported poor sleep quality. Multivariate logistic regression revealed significant associations between poor sleep quality and the presence of chronic comorbidities (odds ratio [OR], 2.34; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.17 to 5.24), being a frontline HCW directly involved in patient care and treatment (OR, 1.59; 95% CI, 1.16 to 2.16), increased working hours (OR, 1.84; 95% CI,1.37 to 2.48), and a higher frequency of encountering critically ill and dying patients (OR, 1.42; 95% CI, 1.03 to 1.95). Conclusions: The high prevalence of poor sleep among HCWs in Vietnam during the COVID-19 pandemic was similar to that in other countries. Working conditions should be adjusted to improve sleep quality among this population.

Mental Health Among Healthcare Workers During the COVID-19 Pandemic in Vietnam

Objectives: The objective of this study was to characterize mental health issues among Vietnamese healthcare workers (HCWs) and to identify related factors.Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted with 990 HCWs in 2021. Their mental health status was measured using the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale.Results: In total, 49.9%, 52.3%, and 29.8% of respondents were found to have depression, anxiety, and stress, respectively. The multivariable linear regression model revealed that factors associated with increased anxiety scores included depression scores (β, 0.45; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.39 to 0.51) and stress scores (β, 0.46; 95% CI, 0.41 to 0.52). Factors associated with increased depression scores included being frontline HCWs (β, 0.57; 95% CI, 0.10 to 1.10), stress scores (β, 0.50; 95% CI, 0.45 to 0.56), and anxiety scores (β, 0.41; 95% CI, 0.36 to 0.47), while working experience was associated with reduced depression scores (β, -0.08; 95% CI, -0.16 to -0.01). Factors associated with increased stress scores included working experience (β, 0.08; 95% CI, 0.00 to 0.16), personal protective equipment interference with daily activities (β, 0.55; 95% CI, 0.07 to 1.00), depression scores (β, 0.54; 95% CI, 0.48 to 0.59), and anxiety scores (β, 0.45; 95% CI, 0.39 to 0.50), while age was associated with reduced stress scores (β, -0.12; 95% CI, -0.20 to -0.05).Conclusions: Specific interventions are necessary to enhance and promote the mental health of HCWs so they can successfully cope with the circumstances of the pandemic.

New Technique for the Synthesis of Carbon Nanotubes

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are considered as a promising material for various applications. However, due to their limited availability and high purchasing costs, at the present time, only a few of these applications have been realized. The realization of CNT-based devices and CNT-based materials depends on success in material synthesis and on the possibility of controlling the nanotube's chirality, diameter and purity. This paper describes new simple techniques for (i) synthesis of vertically-aligned carbon nanotubes (VA-CNTs), (ii) mass and low-cost production of multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and (iii) growth of individual CNTs on tungsten tips.

Fabrication of Carbon Nanotubes on Tungsten Tips

In this paper, we present the results of fabrication of carbon nanotubes on sharp W tips for advanced electron emiters and scanning probe microscopy. A calculation to optimize the elec- trochemical etching conditions for geting ultra-sharp W tips was caried out. W tips of 50 nm in diameter were formed by electrochemical etching of a 0.3-mm W wire in a 5 % KOH solution. Fe catalytic nanoparticles were deposited at the apex of the W tip by electroplating in a FeCl3 solution. By using hot-lament chemical vapor deposition in C2H2/H2 gases, we have sucesfuly grown individual CNTs of 4 m in length and 20 nm in diameter on a W tip.
