        MARCH-I: a New Regulator of Dendritic Cell Function

        We and other groups have demonstrated that the expres-sion level of MHC class II (MHC II) is regulated through ubiquitination of the MHC II  chain. We also reported that MARCH-I, an E3 ubiquitin ligase, is critical for this process. At present, however, the importance of MARCH-I-mediated MHC II regulation in vivo is still unknown. In this review, we will summarize recent advances in our understanding of MARCH-I-mediated MHC II ubiquitination, and discuss how we can overcome the difficulties inherent in these studies.

        향토산업육성사업의 성과관리를 위한 PDCA Cycle의 적용

        This study verified for the necessity for the comprehensive analysis of outcomes resulting from the local industry promotion project in many respects. To analyze the operation planning for performance management of local industry promotion project, this study redesigns the so-called PDCA(Plan→Do→Check→Act) model which is also known as Deming Cycle and verifies some hypotheses. To accomplish study purposes, 169 response samples from 85 project groups which drive the local industry promotion project were verified using SPSS 12.0. The findings are as follows: First, there was a positive relationship between the planing phase and the implementation phase. Second, there was also a positive relationship between the implementation phase and completion of the project phase. Third, there was a positive relationship between the planing phase and completion of the project phase. Finally, the implementation phase was a partial mediator on the relationship between the planing phase and completion of the project phase. Based on these findings, the implications and the limitations of the research findings were discussed, and recommendations for future research were provided.

        지역경제활성화를 위한 향토산업육성사업의 추진모형 연구

        This study postulates a study model to examine the effect on the local economy revitalization of a selection of local resources, the local innovation capability strengthening, the establishment of promotion system and the creation of revenues for the participant groups of the local industry promotion project. To accomplish study purposes, 169 response samples from 85 project groups which drive the local industry promotion project were verified using SPSS 12.0 and AMOS 5.0. The results showed that firstly, the selection of local resources had a significant effect on the local innovation capability strengthening. Secondly, the local innovation capability strengthening had a significant effect on the establishment of promotion system. Thirdly, the establishment of promotion system had a significant effect on the creation of revenues. Fourthly, the selection of local resources didn`t have an effect on the revitalization of local economy. Fifthly, both the local innovation capability strengthening and the establishment of promotion system didn`t have an effect on the revitalization of local economy. Sixthly, the creation of revenues had a significant effect on the revitalization of local economy. According to the verifications of study model, the revitalization of local economy is achieved by inducing creation of revenues through the local innovation capability strengthening and the establishment of promotion system after the selection of local resources. From these results, this study presents suggestions, limits of study and directions in the future study.

        농촌계획 : 내생적 지역발전을 위한 향토산업육성사업의 정책모형에 관한 연구

        This study postulates a partial mediation model(study model Ⅰ) and a whole mediation model(study model Ⅱ) to examine the effect on endogenous rural development of local innovation capability strengthening in the local industry promotion project, the establishment of promotion system, and the revitalization of local economy. To accomplish study purposes, 169 response samples from 85 project groups which drive the local industry promotion project were verified using SPSS 12.0 and AMOS 5.0. The results showed that in the partial mediation model, the local innovation capability strengthening had a significantly positive effect on the establishment of promotion system, the establishment of promotion system had a significant effect on the revitalization of local economy, and the revitalization of local economy had a significant effect on the endogenous rural development, while the establishment of promotion system and local innovation capability strengthening didn`t have effect on the endogenous rural development. In the whole mediation model, the local innovation capability strengthening had a significant effect on the revitalization of local economy, the establishment of promotion system on the revitalization of local economy, and the revitalization of local economy on the endogenous rural development. According to the verifications of study model Ⅰ and Ⅱ, the endogenous rural development is achieved after the revitalization of local economy through the establishment of promotion system and the local innovation capability strengthening. From these results, this study presents suggestions, limits of study and directions in the future study.

        향토산업육성사업의 자가진단모델 개발에 관한 연구

        This study proposes a self-assessment model and its implementing procedure for the local industry promotion project, the purpose of which is to develop strategies for successful carrying-out of the project by diagnosing carrying capacities of its interested parties. The model, developed principally based on Eckes` Q ×A=E Evaluation Model, was applied to 85 project-concerned persons which had been participated in the local industry promotion project from 2009 to 2011. Through the applicability test works of this model, its usefulness and importance for better implementation of the project was ascertained, especially to reflect cultural changes of project actors positively. The actors` recognition level of the project should be one of the critical factors for the successful implementation of the local industry promotion project. So, the higher understanding in the local industry promotion project, the more positive assessment in all respects of the project. Finally, it should be considered that the assessment results might differ for the same assessment standards from assessers` different perspectives.

        Large-scale synthesis of functional tungsten oxide with controlled oxygen-deficiency by a continuous screw reactor

        Oxygen-deficient tungsten oxide is one of the promising materials for broad applications due to itsenhanced characteristics owing to the oxygen-deficiency. Development of a mass production process iscrucial in consideration of the increasing demand of this material in industrial purposes. A continuousscrew reactor was employed to the production of oxygen-deficient tungsten oxide. The effects of hydrogenconcentration and the reduction time on the composition of products were investigated. The maximumWO2.72 mole fraction of 0.95 was achieved by optimum hydrogen concentration and reductiontime. X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) spectra of the products indicated the introduction ofoxygen-deficiency. Anisotropic crystal growth in the (010) direction is found in the cross-section observationby Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). The displacing value from High-Resolution TransmissionElectron Microscope (HR-TEM) demonstrated the existence of WO2.72. The reaction kinetic was investigatedby thermogravimetric analysis. Estimated activation energy supported the results from the continuousprocess. This work suggests the promising process for the large-scale production of functionalmaterials.
