Financial Characteristics effect on Vietnam Small and Medium Enterprises’ Profitability
( Pham Thi Phuong Hoa ),( Rae Soo Park ) 숙명여자대학교 경제경영연구소 2012 기업경제연구 Vol.41 No.1
This paper examines the relationship between financial characteristics of Vietnam SMEs and profitability to find what determinant of financial characteristics impact on SME profitability. Findings showed that liquidity and leverage are negatively related to SME profitability; and turnover, are positively related to SME’s profitability. All three hypotheses are supported. By examining the relationship between these three financial characteristics and SME profitability, this study also contributes to further researches in this field
Line Impedance Estimation Based Adaptive Droop Control Method for Parallel Inverters
Phuong Minh Le,Xuan Hoa Thi Pham,Huy Minh Nguyen,Duc Duy Vo Hoang,Tuyen Dinh Nguyen,Dieu Ngoc Vo 전력전자학회 2018 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.18 No.1
This paper presents a new load sharing control for use between paralleled three-phase inverters in an islanded microgrid based on the online line impedance estimation by the use of a Kalman filter. In this study, the mismatch of power sharing when the line impedance changes due to temperature, frequency, significant differences in line parameters and the requirements of the Plug-and-Play mode for inverters connected to a microgrid has been solved. In addition, this paper also presents a new droop control method working with the line impedance that is different from the traditional droop algorithm when the line impedance is assumed to be pure resistance or pure inductance. In this paper, the line impedance estimation for parallel inverters uses the minimum square method combined with a Kalman filter. In addition, the secondary control loops are designed to restore the voltage amplitude and frequency of a microgrid by using a combined nominal value SOGI-PLL with a generalized integral block and phase lock loop to monitor the exact voltage magnitude and frequency phase at the PCC. A control model has been simulated in Matlab/Simulink with three voltage source inverters connected in parallel for different ratios of power sharing. The simulation results demonstrate the accuracy of the proposed control method.
Characterization of Ag-Doped p-Type SnO Thin Films Prepared by DC Magnetron Sputtering
Pham, Hoai Phuong,Thuy, Thanh Giang Le,Tran, Quang Trung,Nguyen, Hoang Hung,My Hoa, Huynh Tran,Thi Thu, Hoang,Cuong, Tran Viet Hindawi Limited 2017 Journal of nanomaterials Vol.2017 No.-
<P>Crystalline structure and optoelectrical properties of silver-doped tin monoxide thin films with different dopant concentrations prepared by DC magnetron sputtering are investigated. The X-ray diffraction patterns reveal that the tetragonal SnO phase exhibits preferred orientations along (101) and (110) planes. Our results indicate that replacing Sn2+ in the SnO lattice with Ag+ ions produces smaller-sized crystallites, which may lead to enhanced carrier scattering at grain boundaries. This causes a deterioration in the carrier mobility, even though the carrier concentration improves by two orders of magnitude due to doping. In addition, the Ag-doped SnO thin films show a p-type semiconductor behavior, with a direct optical gap and decreasing transmittance with increasing Ag dopant concentration.</P>

Objective: To compare left ventricular (LV) function, ejection fraction (EF), end-diastolic volume (EDV), end-systolic volume (ESV), and regional wall motion analyzed in 256-slice dualsource coronary CT angiography (DSCT) with 2D transthoracic echocardiography (TTE). Materials and Methods: One hundred twelve patients suspected of coronary artery disease underwent DSCT and 2D-TTE within one week for LVEF, EDV, and ESV. The correlation between DSCT and 2D-TTE measurements was analyzed through linear regression and Bland- Altman analysis. Regional wall motion was visually scored with a 3-point scale (1, normal; 2, hypokinesia; 3, dysphagia, akinesia). Results: Average LVEF at 66.45%±1.27% (range 23%–85%) as determined on DSCT compared with 66.09%±1.01% (range 25%–84%) on 2D-TTE. LVEF exhibited a good correlation between DSCT and 2D-TTE (r=0.715; p<0.001). Good correlations between DSCT and 2D-TTE were demonstrated for LVEDV (r=0.732; p<0.001) and LVESV (r=0.841; p<0.001). Mean differences (±SD) of 1.78±24.10 mL (p<0.05) and 0.77±13.70 mL (p<0.05) were observed between DSCT and 2D-TTE for LVEDV and LVESV, respectively. LVEF was slightly overestimated with DSCT (0.52%±9.59%; p<0.05). Although the LVEF values calculated by DSCT and 2D-TTE were similar, EDV and ESV from DSCT were statistically higher than those from 2D-TTE (p<0.05). Agreement between DSCT and 2D-TTE in regional wall motion was 96.4%, κ=0.840. Conclusion: DSCT can provide comparable results to those using 2D-TTE for LV function (EF, EDV, and ESV) and regional wall motion assessment in a heterogeneous population.
NMR-based Fragment Screening of Inhibitors Against p300 CH1 and HIF-1α CTAD Interaction
어유미,심명보,Thuy Nguyen Thi Phuong,Phuong Pham Hoa,안대로,안희철 대한화학회 2016 Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society Vol.37 No.10
NMR spectroscopy of p300 CH1 and HIF-1α CTAD complex was conducted to investigate the conformational status of the complex and to screen the protein–protein interaction inhibitors. The individual p300 CH1 and HIF-1α CTAD were unstructured or partially structured; however, the complex had well-defined folded structure. Since the 1H-15N HSQC spectrum of p300 CH1 or HIF-1α CTAD in the free state was completely different from that in the bound state, it was possible to discriminate whether the protein was in the complex state or not. Fragment compounds were titrated to p300 CH1 and HIF-1α CTAD complex and some showed inhibition of protein–protein interaction based on the analyses of NMR spectra. The result shows that NMR-based screening is possible to discover the fragment chemicals which inhibit the formation of p300 CH1 and HIF-1α CTAD complex.

This study investigates the influence of community involvement on the destination sustainability for community destinations and spiritual destinations in Vietnam. Community involvement is measured by two constructs, which are community attachment and residents' support. A structural questionnaire consisting of 41 observation variables measured on a 5-point Likert scale was used to survey households who live in a spiritual destination in An Giang province and three community destinations in Lang Son province with the help of local tour guides and Youth Union. 168 out of 200 responses collected were valid for multivariate data analysis. The results of confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural equation modeling (SEM) reveal three main findings. Firstly, community attachment has a direct effect on both perceived benefits and destination sustainability. Secondly, while residents' support has a direct effect on perceived benefits, it indirectly affects destination sustainability. Finally, community destinations have a higher level of sustainability than the spiritual destination. Based on those findings, this study proposed three suggestions for local authorities, policymakers, and residents to improve the sustainable development of their local tourism destinations, including (1) diversifying local tourism products, (2) encouraging the community participation in tourism development programs, and (3) increasing in the expected benefits in local tourism development policies.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>In our search for novel small molecules targeting histone deacetylases, we have designed and synthesized several series of novel <I>N</I>-hydroxybenzamides/<I>N</I>-hydroxypropenamides incorporating quinazolin-4(3<I>H</I>)-ones (<B>4a-h</B>, <B>8a-d, 10a-d)</B>. Biological evaluation showed that these hydroxamic acids were generally cytotoxic against three human cancer cell lines (SW620, colon; <I>PC</I>-3, prostate; NCI-H23, lung cancer). It was found that the <I>N</I>-hydroxypropenamides (<B>10a-d)</B> were the most potent, both in term of HDAC inhibition and cytotoxicity. Several compounds, e.g. <B>4e</B>, <B>8b-c</B>, and <B>10a-c</B>, displayed up to 4-fold more potent than SAHA (suberoylanilide hydroxamic acid, vorinostat) in term of cytotoxicity. These compounds also comparably inhibited HDACs with IC50 values in sub-micromolar range. Docking experiments on HDAC2 isozyme revealed some important features contributing to the inhibitory activity of synthesized compounds, especially for propenamide analogues. Importantly, the free binding energy computed was found to have high quantitative correlation (<I>R</I> 2 ∼ 95%) with experimental results.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Novel quinazolin-4(3H)-one-based <I>N</I>-hydroxybenzamides/<I>N</I>-hydroxypropenamides were synthesized. </LI> <LI> The <I>N</I>-hydroxybenzamides/<I>N</I>-hydroxypropenamides exhibited potent HDAC inhibition. </LI> <LI> The <I>N</I>-hydroxybenzamides/<I>N</I>-hydroxypropenamides exhibited good cytotoxicity. </LI> <LI> Docking studies and ADMET estimation were carried out. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>Two series of novel, simple <I>N</I>-hydroxybenzamides/<I>N</I>-hydroxypropenamides incorporating quinolin-4(3H)-one (<B>4a-h</B>, <B>8a-d, 10a-d</B>) were designed and synthesized.
