<P>The primary purpose of this study was to describe the intervention development process using the National Occupational Research Agenda (NORA) research framework. The intervention was then implemented to prevent work-related musculoskeletal disorders among female Korean-Chinese migrant workers living in Korea. The secondary purpose was to determine how community-based participatory research (CBPR) principles could be applied to the intervention development process. A literature review, a focus group of the target population, key informant interviews, and community committee meetings with the researchers were conducted. Several CBPR principles, including developing community resources and promoting an equitable partnership between the researchers and the migrant community, ensured the appropriateness of the stretching intervention program for the ethnic migrant group, promoting program participation. It is suggested that occupational health nurses consider the CBPR approach in program development for underserved migrant workers.</P>
Variation simulation and diagnosis considering in-plane/out-of-plane welding distortion

Geometric variation including welding distortion accumulates as many parts are joined together, ultimately affecting the final product. This variation is then subjected to correction, which requires considerable effort, time, and cost. This variation can be categorized as in-plane/out-of-plane variation. To date, studies on variation simulation have largely focused on the out-of-plane variation, however the variation generated in the in-plane direction requires more time and efforts to correct afterwards. This research aims to construct a variation simulation model considering both the in-plane and out-of-plane variations. A geometric analysis was performed to derive an equation that reflects the coupling effect of the out-of-plane variation on the in-plane variation. The proposed model is validated with case study analysis and the results shows that good fidelity in predicting and diagnosing the in-plane variation during the block assembly process considering welding distortion.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify essential global health competencies for undergraduate nursing students in Korea. Methods: This study used a mixed methods design including an online survey with a convenient sample of 223 nursing educators, followed by an expert discussion with four nursing educators with expertise in global health. The global health competency was measured using the Global Health Competencies for Nurses in the America, which consists of 30 competencies in 6 domains. Each competency was measured by a 4-point Likert Scale, with at least 80% of 3 or 4 point scores indicating consensus that competency was considered essential for undergraduate nursing students. Results: Nursing educators most strongly agreed the competencies of the Social and Environmental Determinants of Health domain as essential global health competencies for nursing students. A total of 21 items in 5 out of 6 competency domains were initially identified with at least 80% agreement. Finally, the experts decided on 24 global health competencies through the revision and integration of several competencies. Conclusion: The findings indicate that nursing educators perceived that nursing students need to be prepared for responding to emerging global health needs. The proposed list of global health competencies can provide guidance to develop a framework for integrating global health into undergraduate nursing curriculums.
농업의 공익가치 확산을 위한 농업환경보전 기술 우선순위분석 및 정책방안 도출

본 연구는 농업의 공익적 가치 확산의 일환으로 이루어지고 있는 농업인 대상의 농업환경보전 프로그램에 있어서 실선기술들의 우선순위를 평가하고 공익적 가치 확산의 효과를 극대화 시킬 수 있는 정책방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 토양, 용수, 대기 분야에 있어서의 농업환경보전 프로그램 실천기술별 주요활동들에 대한 환경효과성(긍정적 정책수단일 경우 환경적 목표도달 가능성 증진효과가 큼)과 기술적용의 용이성(직접적효과, 현실적결과) 평가를 실시하였고, 농업환경보전프로그램을 통한 농업의 공익적 가치 확산을 위해 이상적인 목표와 현실적 결과를 극대화 할 수 있는 실천기술의 주요활동이 무엇인지 살펴보았다. 또한 이러한 결과를 가지고 토양, 용수, 대기 세 개분야에 있어 실천기술별 우선순위를 정해 농업의 공익적 가치 확산을 위한 정책방안을 제시하였다. 농업환경보전 실천기술은 토양, 용수, 대기 3개 분야의 총 31개 실천기술 주요활동에 대해서 각 분야의 전문가 103인을 대상으로 설문조사하였다. 분석방법으로 AHP와 BWS기법을 통하여 각각의 실천기술별 주요활동의 환경효과성과 기술적용의 용이성을 파악하고 우선순위를 책정하였다. 분석결과 세 개의 주요분야 중 토양분야가 가장 우선순위에서 높았으며, 환경효과성과 기술 적용이 용이하여 성공적 정책방안 제시로 가장 이상적이며 직접적 효과를 볼 수 있는 실천기술로는 토양에서 볏짚·뿌리 등 농업부산물의 농지환원 활동과 휴경기 녹비작물 재배 및 토양 환원 활동으로 나타났다. 두 번째 우선순위인 용수분야에서는 공동 육묘장·못자리 설치 활동과 가축분뇨퇴·액비 살포기준 준수활동이, 마지막으로 대기분야에서는 가축분뇨 저장시설 지붕설치가 공익적 가치 확산을 위한 정책실행의 우선 실천기술로 나타났다. 정부나 지자체의 정책들이 이러한 우선 순위를 기준으로 하여 먼저 이루어질 경우 그 실천기술의 현장적용이 용이하여 직접적이고 현실적인 효과가 클 뿐 아니라 정부나 지자체가 실현하고자 하는 농업의 공익적 가치 확산이라는 환경적 목표에 도달할 가능성이 크게 될 것이다. 또한 연구결과의 우선적 실천기술 도입을 위한 정책방안을 통해서 농업의 공익적 가치 향상은 물론 농업의 산업적 지위도 굳건해 질 수 있을 것이다.
