이혼가정 아동을 위한 학교 집단상담 프로그램 개발 연구 = (A)study on development of school-based group counseling program for children of divorce

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 이혼가정 아동이 부모의 이혼으로 인한 적응상의 어려움을 극복할 수 있는 학교 집단상담 프로그램을 체계적으로 개발하고, 그 프로그램의 효과를 평가하는데 목적이 있었다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하였다. 첫째, 학교 집단상담 프로그램은 어떻게 구성되어야 하는가?둘째, 학교 집단상담 프로그램의 효과를 검증할 수 있는가?본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 이혼가정 아동의 특성과 발달적 과제, 그리고 아동의 적응에 영향을 주는 변인들을 탐색하였다. 이러한 변인 중에서 아동의 적응에 도움을 주는 요인인 학교 집단상담 프로그램들을 고찰하였다. 이혼가정 아동의 발달적 과제와 선행 프로그램 연구를 통해 본 연구에 필요한 구성요소를 도출하였다. 도출된 구성요소를 중심으로 학교 집단상담 프로그램 시안을 작성하여 예비실험을 실시한 후 수정․보완을 통해 최종 프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발한 학교 집단상담 프로그램은 다음과 같은 다섯 개의 하위목표를 두었다. 첫째, 지지적 집단 환경 조성, 둘째, 부모의 이혼으로 인한 가족 구조 변화에 대한 이해와 수용, 셋째, 부모에 대한 분노와 비난 감정 명료화, 넷째, 이혼에 대한 잘못된 개념의 명료화, 다섯째, 현실적인 문제에 대처 능력 증진 등이다. 프로그램의 내용은 제 1회 ‘프로그램 소개와 서로 알아가기’, 제 2회 ‘가족구조 변화 다루기’, 제 3회 ‘분노와 부모 비난 감정 다루기’, 제 4회 ‘이혼 개념 이해와 자책감 극복하기’, 제 5회 ‘문제해결 방법 학습’, 제 6회 ‘문제해결 방법 적용’, 제 7회 ‘이혼의 지속성 인식하기’, 제 8회 ‘정리 및 평가’ 등 총 8회기로 구성되었다. 개발한 프로그램의 효과에 대한 평가는 최종 선정된 16명에 의해 이루어졌다. 최종 선정된 연구대상은 실험집단과 통제집단에 임의로 배정되었다. 프로그램을 실시할 실험집단과 대기자 집단으로서 통제집단에 각각 8명씩 배정하였다. 프로그램 실시 전후 같은 시기에 검사가 이루어졌다. 측정도구는 교사용, 아동용으로 나뉘어졌다. 교사용 도구는 교사용 아동 평가 척도였고, 아동용으로는 아동의 평가 척도, 이혼 지각 척도, 부모 관계 척도였다. 이 연구의 주요 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 실험 집단은 프로그램 참가 후에 통제 집단에 비해 교사의 평가 영역 중부끄럼불안 영역, 좌절에 대한 인내, 또래 교제 기술에서 유의미한 차이를 나타내었다. 둘째, 아동 자신의 평가에서 규칙 순응산만 영역, 움츠림불안 영역, 또래 교제 기술, 그리고 학교 흥미 영역에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 셋째, 아동의 이혼 지각에서도 실험 집단이 통제 집단에 비해 유의미하게 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 부모와의 관계에 대해서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 본 연구의 결론은 구체적으로 다음과 같이 세분화할 수 있다. 첫째, 본 연구에서 선정한 가족구조 변화 이해, 분노감정 이해, 이혼 개념 이해, 자책감 극복, 문제 해결 방법 학습, 이혼의 지속성 인식 등의 집단상담 프로그램 구성요소는 학교에서의 규칙 준수, 또래 관계, 학교 흥미 영역에서 이혼가정 아동의 적응 능력을 향상시키는데 효과적이었다. 둘째, 학교중심 집단상담 프로그램은 아동의 이혼 지각에 긍정적인 효과가 있다. 가족구조의 변화에 대한 이해, 분노 감정 조절, 자책감 극복, 문제해결 방법 습득 등의 측면에서 긍정적인 변화를 확인할 수 있었다.셋째, 학교중심 집단상담 프로그램은 아동의 부모와의 관계에 긍정적인 효과가 있다. 집단 경험이 부모와의 의사소통을 촉진시켜 주고, 함께 보내는 시간에 대해 만족하는 정도가 높아지고 있음을 보여주었다. 본 연구의 의의는 이혼가정 아동의 삶에 대한 이해와 부모 이혼 후 적응과정에 대한 이해를 증진시켰다는 점이다. 또한, 학교 집단상담 프로그램 경험을 통해 이혼가정 아동이 학교생활에 보다 잘 적응할 수 있게 하였다는 점에서 의미가 있을 것이다.
