발레정신 지도에 있어서 간접교수방법의 유형과 역할 = The Types and Role of Indirect Teaching Methods in Ballet Education

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to explore the aspects of teacher`s indirect teaching method in the field of ballet education, finding the educational effects of indirect teaching method and exploring the role of it. The study period in the planning stages of research including data collection and analysis were carried out during December, 2010 to August, 2011. This study employed qualitative research methods and data collection included literature analysis, in-depth interviews, non-participant observation, and open questionnaires. Triangulation, members checking, and expert meeting were used by sharing data during data collection and analysis to assure trustworthiness and credibility of results. Findings revealed that first, indirect teaching methods that ballet teachers used were categorized as: (a) experience recommendation, (b) musical sensation, (c) reflective stimulation, (d) milieu creation, and (e) character transference. Second, using indirect teaching method in ballet education has educational effects: improving students` understanding about body and movement, encouraging students to reflect themselves, developing students into the whole person. Lastly, the indirect teaching method has a significant role as a latent curriculum approaching the whole-person education. Taking into consideration the emphasis on ballet spirit including physical, cognitive, emotional, and spiritual dimension, this study suggests that ballet teachers should learn how to use effectively indirect teaching method in ballet education.
