미국 멘토링 프로그램이 컨설팅장학에 주는 시사점 탐색 = Understanding Mentoring Programs in the U.S.A. and Implication on Consulting-Supervision System in Korea

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 미국 멘토링의 운영 실제에 대한 이해를 통해 한국의 컨설팅장학에 시사점을 얻는 것을 목표로 하였다. 컨설팅장학과 멘토링은 교사를 위한 지원 활동으로서 교사의 전문성 향상이라는 공통적인 목적을 두고 있기 때문에 멘토링의 인력 양성 및 선발 체제 등을 중점적으로 살펴보았고, 이를 통해 우리나라의 컨설팅장학의 개선점을 찾고자 하였다. 교사 지원체제라는 공통점은 지닌 두 활동의 비교를 통해 얻은 시사점은 첫째, 컨설턴트의 선발과 양성에 있어서 조금 더 체계적이고 표준화된 절차가 필요할 것이다. 둘째, 컨설턴트와 의뢰인을 연결해 줄 때 의뢰인에게 적합한 컨설턴트를 신중하게 연결해 주는 것이 필요하다. 셋째, 컨설팅장학이 각종 평가와 독립적으로 운영이 되어야 할 것이다. 넷째, 컨설팅장학의 영역과 대상을 세분화하고 각 영역별로 전문화된 컨설턴트를 선발하고 양성할 필요가 있다는 것이다. 다섯째, 학교의 바쁜 업무 하에서도 컨설턴트와 의뢰인이 서로 만날 수 있도록 조직적인 배려가 있어야 할 것이다.
