개별성-관계성 및 대인관계 유능성이 심리적 안녕에 미치는 영향 = Relationships of individuality, relatedness, and interpersonal competence on psychological well-being

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 대학생들의 심리적 안녕에 관련되는 개별성－관계성 및 대인관계 유능성간의 관련성을 살펴보고 선행연구들을 기초로 가설모형을 설정, 이를 분석하였다. 충남 소재 한 대학의 대학생 225명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 구조적 관계를 규명한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 심리적 안녕감은 개별성－관계성, 대인관계 유능성과 유의미한 정적 상관을 보였으며, 개별성－관계성과 대인관계 유능성도 유의미한 정적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 본 연구에서 설정한 가설모형의 적합지수들을 검토한 결과, 개별성은 직접적으로 심리적 안녕에 영향을 미치거나 대인관계 유능성을 매개로 간접적으로 심리적 안녕에 영향을 주고, 관계성은 대인관계 유능성을 매개로 간접적으로만 영향을 주는 모형이 적합함을 확인하였다. 셋째, 심리적 안녕에 영향을 주는 변인들의 직․간접적인 효과를 분석한 결과, 대인관계 유능성의 직접적인 효과가 다른 예측변인들에 비해 상대적으로 높았고, 간접적인 효과는 관계성이 가장 높았다. 이상의 결과들은 실제 대학생들의 심리적 안녕감을 증진시키기 위해 타인과 효과적으로 관계를 맺는 능력뿐만 아니라 자기와 타인 관계 지향이 어떤지도 함께 고려해야 함을 시사한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study explored the relations of individuality-relatedness and interpersonal competence to college students' psychological well-being by analyzing the data on the basis of the hypotheses constructed from existing research. Results from the survey to 225 college students are as follows. First, psychological well-being correlated positively with individuality, relatedness, and interpersonal competence. In addition, both individuality and relatedness had positive correlations with interpersonal competence. Second, when competing models were compared, the model with a better fit showed that relatedness only had an indirect effect through interpersonal competence on psychological well-being while individuality had both direct and indirect effects on psychological well-being. Third, among the variables affecting psychological well-being, interpersonal competence showed a relatively higher direct effect than other variables whereas relatedness had the highest indirect effect. In conclusion, the results suggest that we should pay attention to students' personal orientations toward self and others as well as their interpersonal competence in order to enhance college students' psychological well-being.
