어린이집 교사가 부모와의 관계에서 느끼는 스트레스와 대처방법 = Stress and Coping Skill of Teachers in Child-care Institutions

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to understand stress and coping skills of teachers in child-care institutions and to provide basic information helpful for the positive relationship between teachers and parents. For the study, 10 teachers from various types of child-care institutions were selected and in-depth, group interview were carried out. Data were also collected from related document and participants` journal analysis for 15 weeks from September 20th to December 31st, 2010. The result showed that teachers had stresses from parents, who transferred responsibilities for children to teachers, who required so much what they wanted, who expressed their dissatisfaction and distrust directly, who had inacceptable attitude towards their children`s matter, who became angry with accidents without trying to know why they happened, who told things to higher-positioned teachers without passing through home-room teachers, and who wanted to have private meeting and ask something for their children. Teachers tried to understand parents and to make parents understand teachers and tried to accept parents` requests. Teachers also tried to avoid conflict situation by anticipating what would happen as well as by getting advice from colleagues or head-teachers.
