초보 상담자들의 어려움과 역전이 관리능력 및 상담성과 간의 관계 = The effects of Novice Counselor's Difficulty, Countertransference management abililty on the Counseling Outcome

The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between the countertransference management ability and counseling outcome with the difficulties experienced by the novice counselors during the counseling process. This study was undertaken for five times or more of personal counseling for graduate students under the training for counseling at C University and K University. The interviewees were implemented with the questionnaire on the difficulties experienced by the novice counselors and the questionnaire for the countertransference management ability scale and degree of satisfaction in counseling, and the clients had the counseling outcome scale and degree of satisfaction for counseling completed. The research result is shown as follows. First, the difficulty for the novice counselors was highest in case conceptualization and intervention territory. Second, the lower factors for the novice counselors in conceptualization and intervention had noticeably negative correlations for the lower factors of the countertransference management ability in empathy capability, self-integration, management for anxiety and level of satisfaction for counselor. In addition, the counselor characteristics had the noticeably negative correlations for the lower factors in empathy capability, management for anxiety and level of satisfaction for counselor. The difficulties and the countertransference management ability experienced by the beginning counselors displayed with no meaningful correlations with the level of satisfaction for the client and counseling outcome of the client. Third, it was shown to make meaningful influence on the countertransference management ability and the level of satisfaction for the novice counselors. And, fourth, the client relation change from the counseling outcome was shown to be an influential variable to describe and forecast the level of satisfaction for the client. there was a significant difference on the level of satisfaction for counselor and the level of satisfaction for the client. Finally, The implications and limitations of the study were discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 초보상담자들이 상담과정에서 겪는 어려움과 역전이 관리 능력 및 상담 성과간의 관계를 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구의 대상은 C대학교와 K대학교에서 상담 수련을 받는 대학원생 중 개인상담을 5회기 이상 진행한 초보상담자 51명과 내담자 51명이었다. 상담자들은 초보상담자가 겪는 어려움에 관한 질문지와 역전이 관리 능력 척도 및 상담만족도 질문지를 완성하도록 하였고, 내담자들에게는 상담성과척도와 상담만족도를 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째 초보상담자가 경험하는 어려움은 사례개념화와 개입 영역에서 가장 높게 나타났다. 둘째 초보상담자의 어려움과 역전이 관리능력, 상담자 상담만족도 간에는 유의미한 부적상관을 보였다. 역전이 관리능력과 상담자 상담만족도에는 유의미한 정적상관을 보였다. 내담자가 지각한 상담성과와 내담자 상담만족도 간에는 유의미한 정적상관을 보였다. 그러나 초보상담자들이 겪는 어려움과 역전이 관리능력은 내담자 상담만족도, 내담자 상담성과와 유의미한 상관관계가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째 역전이 관리능력과 초보상담자의 어려움이 상담자의 상담만족도에 모두 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째 내담자의 상담성과 중 관계변화는 내담자의 상담만족도를 설명할 수 있는 영향력 있는 변인으로 나타났다. 내담자가 지각한 상담만족도와 상담자의 상담만족도 간에 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 마지막으로 본 연구결과에 대한 의의와 시사점을 논의하였다.
