완벽주의 성향과 부정적 기분조절기대치가 초등교사의 소진에 미치는 영향 = The Effect of Perfectionism on Burnout in the Elementary School Teachers -Moderating Effect of Negative Mood Regulation Expectancies-

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 교사들의 직무경험에 영향을 주는 주요 기제로 대두되고 있는 부정적 기분조절기대치가 교사의 완벽주의성향과 교사소진과의 관계에 미치는 영향을 살펴봄으로써 교사들의 소진현상을 이해하고 소진예방에 있어 완벽주의와 부정적 기분조절기대치의 역할을 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 경기 및 인천지역 초등학교 교사265명을 대상으로 주요 변인들의 관계를 알아보기 위해 상관분석을 실시하였다. 이어서 Ping(1966)의 2단계 방법을 순차적으로 적용하여 조절효과를 검증하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교사의 완벽주의 성향, 부정적 기분조절기대치 및 소진의 상관관계를 살펴보면, 교사의 완벽주의 성향과 소진은 다소 높은 정도의 정적 상관을 보였고, 소진과 부정적 기분조절기대치는 낮은 정도의 부적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 교사의 완벽주의요인과 소진과의 관계에서 부정적 기분조절기대치 요인의 조절효과를 알아본 결과 부정적 기분조절기대치가 높을수록 교사의 완벽주의 성향이 소진에 미치는 영향이 정적으로 감소하는 것으로 나타나 부정적 기분조절기대치의 조절효과가 검증되었다. 즉, 완벽주의 성향이 높은 교사일수록 소진 수준이 높고 부정적 기분조절의 어려움을 경험하며, 부정적 기분조절기대치가 높을수록 완벽주의성향으로 인한 소진현상을 적절하게 조율할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과들을 토대로 본 연구의 시사점과 제한점 그리고 앞으로의 연구방향에 대한 시사점들을 언급하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine moderating of negative mood regulation expectancies on the relationship between perfectionism and burnout of the elementary teacher, to help to prevent excessive burnout and overcome by understanding psychological and emotional trouble of the elementary teacher and leading them to express in desirable ways through regulating emotion. This study executed correlation analysis to examine the relationship of main variables from 500 teachers in elementary school under Incheon Metropolitan city, examined measurement model and moderating effects of effects of negative mood regulation expectancies by using Ping's two-step model. The research findings were as follows. First, the analysis of the relationship of perfectionism, burnout, negative mood regulation expectancies showed that there was a little high positive correlation between perfectionism and burnout, a little high negative correlation between negative mood regulation expectancies and burnout, a low negative correlation between perfectionism and negative mood regulation expectancies. Second, the analysis on moderating effects of negative mood regulation expectancies in relationship of perfectionism and burnout showed that negative mood regulation expectancies had a moderating effect on perfectionism and burnout of the elementary school teachers. Perfectionism also had a negative effect on burnout of elementary school teachers. It implies that the elementary school teachers with high level of negative mood regulation expectancies can control their burnout well compared to those with the low level of negative mood regulation expectancies. Especially when school teachers have the high level of negative mood regulation expectancies, the negative effect of perceived burnout decreases. Implications and limitation for this study and future research were suggested.
