애착이론에 근거한 집단상담 프로그램이 대학생의 대인관계 문제 및 능력에 미치는 효과 = A Study of the Development of the Group Counseling Program based on the Attachment Theory and Its Effects

This study was purposed to develope the interpersonal relationship program for college students and to examine the effects of the program based on the attachment theory. Two objectives of the study were as follows: a) to develope a group counseling program for college students to improve their close interpersonal relationships. b) to verify the specific effects of the program. To verify the effects of the developed group counseling program, the level of interpersonal relation problems and interpersonal competence through the program was explained. As the purpose of the program was established, the program was organized according to the systematic program development model. 27 college students in Seoul were classified into two groups: an experiment group and a control group. Then the developed group counseling program was conducted to them to verify its effects. With these program, pre and post-tests were executed (pre and post-tests 1, 2) three times to the two groups. Multi-level analysis using the Growth Model was applied to analyze the collected data. The results of the analysis showed that the participants of the program consistently decreased in the level of interpersonal relationship problems and their interpersonal competence steadily improved signifcantly. Based on the results above, following conclusions were drawn. First, the group counseling program developed for this study is based on the attachment theory. The program comprises the effective process, contents and organization to improve interpersonal relationship of students. Second, the program is effective to improve the interpersonal relationship of students. Accordingly, the meaning of the study was that the possibility to improve interpersonal relationship through the intervention of group counseling in relatively short period based on a theoretical claim that attachment had strong and consistent effects on forming and maintaining interpersonal relationship through the whole life.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 애착이론에 근거하여 대인관계를 증진시키는 집단상담 프로그램을 개발하고, 개발된 프로그램의 효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이 연구의 첫 번째 연구목적은 대학생들의 친밀한 대인관계 형성 및 증진을 도울 수 있는 집단상담 프로그램을 개발하는 것이고, 두 번째 연구 목적은 개발된 프로그램의 효과를 검증하는 것이다. 개발된 집단상담 프로그램의 효과를 검증하기 위하여, 프로그램을 통한 실험집단의 대인관계문제 수준과 대인관계능력 수준의 지속적 변화를 밝히고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 체계적인 집단상담 프로그램 개발 모형에 따라 프로그램 목표를 수립하였고, 프로그램을 구성하였으며, 개발된 집단상담 프로그램의 효과를 검정하기 위하여 S시에 위치한 1개 대학교의 학생 27명을 실험집단과 통제집단으로 분류하여 프로그램을 실시하였다. 실험집단과 통제집단을 대상으로 총 3회의 검사(사전검사와 사후 1, 2검사)를 실시하였으며, 본 연구의 자료를 분석하기 위하여 다층분석의 성장모형을 적용하였다. 프로그램의 효과를 분석한 결과, 본 연구에서 개발된 집단상담 프로그램 참여자들의 대인관계문제 수준은 유의하게 지속적으로 감소하였으며, 대인관계능력과 수준은 유의하게 지속적으로 향상되었다. 연구결과를 근거로 본 연구에서 개발한 집단상담 프로그램은 애착이론에 바탕을 두고 대학생의 대인관계 증진에 효과적인 절차와 내용 및 구성을 포함하며, 대학생의 대인관계 증진에 효과적이라는 결론을 내릴 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 애착이 전 생애에 걸쳐 대인관계 형성 및 유지에 지속적이고 강력하게 영향을 미친다는 이론적 주장에 기초하여, 비교적 단기적인 집단상담 개입을 통한 대인관계 증진 가능성을 확인하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
