움직임을 통한 공간능력 향상 활동이 유아의 공간능력과 신체표현능력에 미치는 효과 = The Effect of the Movement Activities for Enhancing Young Children's Spatial Ability and Physical Expression Ability

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 움직임을 통한 유아의 공간능력 향상 활동을 적용하여 유아의 공간능력과 신체표현능력에 미치는 효과를 살펴보고자 하였다. 5세 유아를 대상으로 움직임을 통한 공간능력 향상 활동을 10주간 적용한 결과, 유아의 공간능력 즉, 위치, 방향, 좌표, 시각적 표상, 공간적 추론능력 향상을 이끌 수 있었다. 또한 본 활동은 유아가 움직임을 통해 공간을 탐색·인식하며 이를 바탕으로 움직임을 다양하게 표현하도록 도움으로써, 유아가 신체표현활동을 할 때 다양한 공간을 활용하도록 돕고 시간, 힘의 세기, 흐림과 같은 동작의 질도 개선시킬 수 있었다.

This study examined the effects of the movement activities for enhancing young children's spatial ability and physical expression ability. Subjects were 47 five-year-olds (23 in the experimental group; 24 in the control group). Both groups participated in a 10 week experiment.
The results showed that the movement activities for enhancing young children's spatial ability and physical expression ability contributed significantly to the improvement of young children's spatial ability and physical expression ability. These movement activities improved young children's spatial orientation ability, spatial visualization ability and quality of movement through actual movement.
