대학생의 진로스트레스와 대처방식이 진로결정수준에 미치는 영향 = Coping as a Mediator between Career-related Stress and Career Decision-Making in College Students

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 진로스트레스와 진로결정수준 간의 관계에서 스트레스 대처방식
의 매개효과를 알아보는 것이다. 이를 통해 각 변인들 간의 관계에 대한 이해의 폭을 넓히고
진로스트레스의 수준과 주로 사용하는 스트레스 대처방식에 따른 차별적인 상담개입에 대한
함의를 찾고자 하였다. 서울 소재 사립대학교에 재학중인 대학생 373 명의 설문 자료가 사용
되었으며 위계적 회귀분석을 통해 매개효과를 검증하였다. 분석 결과 문제중섬대처와 회피중
심대처가 진로스트레스와 진로결정수준 간의 관계를 부분매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 스트레
스 대처방식의 부분매개효과가 밝혀졌지만 진로스트레스는 진로결정수준을 예측하는 강력한
변인인 것으로 나타났다. 대학생을 위한 진로상담에서 진로스트레스의 수준과 스트레스 대처
방식에 따른 차별적인 상담개입을 중심으로 논의하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Although career-related stress has been highly ranked among various stressful events that college students
experience，limited numbers of empirical research investigated career-related stress and career
decision-making. The current study attempted to explore the mediating effects of coping between
career-related stress and career decision making. Three hundred and seventy three college students
participated in this study. The results from hierarchical multiple regression indicated that problem-focused
coping and avoidance-focused coping partially mediated the link of career-related stress and career
decision-making. However, career-related stress was found to be a strong predictor of career
decision-making despite the mediating effects of coping. Discussion focused on intervention strategies in career counseling for college students considering the levels of career-related， stress and main coping
strategies that college students employ.
