유아교육기관에 적응하는 다문화가정 유아에 대한 생태학적 변인연구 = Ecological Variables in the Adjustment of Young Children from Multicultural Families to Early Childhood Education Centers

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 다문화가정 유아들의 유아교육기관 적응에 영향을 미치는 변인들을 유기체 변인, 가정환경 변인, 유아교육기관 환경변인의 생태학적 변인을 중심으로 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구를 수행하기 위해 먼저, 광주지역의 사립유치원과 민간 어린이집에 재원하고 있는 다문화가정 유아 97명을 광주광역시 교육청과 교육과학기술부에 의뢰하여 파악하였으며, 그들의 외국인 부모 및 담임교사를 대상으로 면접과 설문조사하여 자료를 수집하였다. 연구결과, 생태학적 변인 중 유아교육기관 환경변인인 다문화가정 유아를 담당하는 교사의 효능감이 높을수록 다문화가정 유아가 유아교육기관의 일과적응, 자아적응, 또래적응, 친사회적 적응을 잘하였다. 이러한 연구결과는 다문화가정 유아를 담당하고 있는 교사들이 다문화가정을 이해하도록 더욱 노력해야 하며, 다문화가정 유아를 담당하는 교사의 교수효능감을 증진 시키기 위해 국가적인 차원에서 체계적이고 지속적인 다문화 유아교사 양성체제를 구축해야함을 시사한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The objective of this study was to analyze variables influencing the adjustment of young children from multicultural families to early childhood education centers, focusing on ecological variables including organism variables, home environment variables, and early childhood education center environment variables. The subjects were 97 young children from multicultural families who were attending a private kindergarten or a private childcare center in Gwangju, and were sampled with the help of the Gwangju Education Office and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. Data were collected from their immigrant parents and class teachers through interviews and a questionnaire survey. According to the results, when the teacher in charge had high teaching efficacy, which is one of the early childhood education center environment variables among the ecological variables, these children showed good adjustment to daily tasks at the early childhood education center, self-adjustment, peer adjustment, and prosocial adjustment. This result suggests that teachers caring for multicultural children should make efforts to understand multicultural families better, and the government should establish a system for educating teachers about these children systematically and continuously in order to enhance teaching efficacy.
