중학생의 행복에 대한 사회적 지지와 학업 성취 및 낙관성의 효과 = The Effects of Social Support, Academic Achievement, and Optimism on Middle School Students' Happiness

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 사회적 지지, 학업 성취가 중학생의 낙관성과 행복에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 분석하고, 낙관성이 사회적 지지, 학업 성취와 행복과의 관계에서 어떠한 매개 효과를 나타내는지, 그리고 행복에 대한 관련 변인들의 상대적인 영향력이 어떠한가를 규명하는 데 있다. 연구 대상은 경기도와 강원도에 위치한 7개 중학교의 2학년 학생들을 지역별, 성별을 고려하여 임의 표집한 748명이었다. 본 연구에서 설정한 중학생의 행복결정 요인에 대한 가설적 인과모형을 검증하기 위해 LISREL 8.54를 이용하여 변량 구조분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중학생이 지각한 사회적 지지(부모 지지, 친구 지지)는 행복에 유의한 직접적인 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 그러나 교사 지지는 행복에 유의한 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 학업 성취는 행복에 유의한 직접적인 영향을 미치고 있지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 중학생이 지각한 사회적 지지(부모 지지, 친구 지지)와 학업 성취는 모두 낙관성에 유의한 직접적인 정적영향을 미쳤다. 넷째, 중학생의 낙관성은 행복에 유의한 직접적인 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 낙관성의 행복에 대한 표준화 경로계수는 .70으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 중학생의 낙관성은 사회적 지지, 학업 성취, 행복 간의 관계에서 매개 효과를 보였다. 여섯째, 중학생의 행복전체 변량에 대한 사회적 지지, 학업 성취 및 낙관성의 총 설명변량은 81%였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of social support, academic achievement, and optimism on middle school students' happiness. The survey was made by 748 students who were randomly sampled in second_year students of 7 middle schools in the Gyeonggi Province and Gangwon Province with regard to region and sex. The major findings of this study are summarized as follows:
First, middle school students' social support(parents support, friends support) had a significantly and directly positive effect on their happiness. Second, middle school students' academic achievement had not a significant and direct effect on their happiness. Third, both middle school students' social support and academic achievement had a significantly and directly positive effect on their optimism. Forth, middle school students' optimism had a significantly and directly positive effect on their happiness. The standardization path coefficient of their optimism on their happiness was .70. Fifth, middle school students' optimism showed the mediating effect in the relationship among their social support, academic achievement and happiness. Finally, the total explanation variance of their social support, academic achievement and optimism on their happiness was 81 percent.
