청소년의 또래애착과 학교생활적응이 공동체의식에 미치는 영향: 삶의 만족도의 조절효과를 중심으로 = The Effects of Adolescents’ Peer Attachment and Adaptation to School Life on Sense of Community: Focusing on Moderating Effect of Life Satisfaction

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aims of this study are to examine the effect of adolescents’peer attachment and adaptation to school life on the sense of community, to investigate moderating effect of life satisfaction. We conducted a secondary data analysis of the “Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey in 2010” data of the National Youth Policy Institute collected from 2,351 middle school freshmen. The data was analyzed through PASW 18.0 for descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The result of the present study can be summarized into the following. first, all variables such as peer attachment, adaptation to school life, and life satisfaction have statistically significant impact on the sense of community. Stronger peer attachment and better ability to adapt school life lead to more positive sense of community. Second, adding life satisfaction as moderating effect results in impact on peer attachment and adaptation to school life. When peer attachment and adaptation to school life are added at the same time, only the adaptation to school life show statistical significance. Also, the introduction of life satisfaction as moderating effect indicates positive relationship with adolescents’ sense of community.
