사회적 지지와 규범적응, 수업적응의 관계에서 기본욕구충족의 매개효과 검증 = Psychological Basic Needs as a Mediator between Social Support and Norm Adjustment and Class Adjustment

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Based on the self-determination theory and social support theory, this study examined whether the relations between social support(parents support, teacher support, peer support) and norm adjustment and class adjustment are mediated by satisfaction of basic psychological needs. Data were collected from 578 adolescents(335 males, 243 females) who attend middle and high schools in Seoul and Gyeonggi area. For analyses, the structural equation modeling were used. The results showed that the satisfaction of basic psychological needs plays a role as a mediator variable in the relation between social support and the class adjustment. but didn't in the relation between social support and the norm adjustment. The implications for educational and counselling practice derived from these results. The limitations of the present study and the suggestions for further research were also discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 자기결정성이론, 사회적 지지이론에 기초하여 청소년들의 사회적 지지, 기본욕구충족, 규범적응, 수업적응의 관계에 대한 구조적 모형을 검증하고, 사회적 지지가 기본욕구충족을 매개로 규범적응과 수업적응을 매개하는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 서울, 경기도 소재의 중ㆍ고등학교 총 578명(남학생 335명, 여학생 243명)의 청소년들을 대상으로 사회적 지지와 규범적응, 수업적응과의 관계에서 기본욕구충족의 매개효과를 구조방정식 모형분석을 사용하여 검증하였다. 구조모형을 검증하기 전에 측정모형 검증을 실시한 결과 사회적 지지와 기본욕구충족, 규범적응, 수업적응이 측정변인들에 의하여 타당하게 측정되는 것으로 나타났다. 구조모형은 최대우도추정 방법으로 검증하였으며, 기본욕구총족과 규범적응 사이의 경로, 사회적 지지와 수업적응 사이의 경로가 유의미하지 않아 삭제하고 최종모형을 구성하였다. 최종모형은 구조모형에 내재되므로 모형비교를 한 결과 더 간명한 최종모형을 선택하였다. 즉, 기본욕구충족은 사회적 지지와 수업적응의 관계를 완전매개 하고, 사회적 지지와 규범적응의 관계에 대해서는 매개하지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 청소년들이 사회적 지지(교사, 부모, 또래)를 받을수록 기본욕구충족(자율성, 유능성, 관계성)이 채워져 수업에 잘 적응할 수 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이러한 결과에 따른 교육적, 상담적 함의, 연구의 제한점, 추후 연구에 대한 제언을 논의하였다.
