노인 정보화교육의 참여동기, 지속동기, 학습지속유형에 관한 연구 = A Study on Learning Motivations and Learning Continuation Types in the Elderly`s Computer Education

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to identify learning motivations(starting motivations and continuing motivations) and learning processes in the elderly`s learning computer skills. For this, 15 seniors who has continued to learn the computer and internet-related skills for more than 1 year, in a welfare center in seoul. The results of this study are as follows. First, the participation(or beginning) motivations of learning computer and internet-related skills were 1) escaping needs from exigency, 2) leaning needs, 3) needs of re-employment or mastering working ability, 4) needs of using leisure time, 5) needs by external expectation, 6) needs of solving daily life tasks. Second, the continuing motivations of learning computer and internet-related skills were through 1) the experience of usefulness of computer skills, 2) the pleasure of learning, 3) the social relationships like amateurs` club, social welfare work, etc., and 4) empowerment for employment. Third, the types of learning continuation were categorized into 4 types: 1) employment-oriented type, 2) daily life settlement-oriented type, 3) club-oriented type and 4) social service-oriented type.
