세 유치원 원감의 교직 역할 수행에 관한 이야기 = Narratives of three kindergarten vice-directors on their rolein teaching profession

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

A kindergarten vice-director, who has a direct effect on the management of a kindergarten as the second-highest administrator in the preschool, is an educational professional that supervises and manages its affairs in line with her/his supervisor - kindergarten director. This study is designed to explore its professional identity by finding out a vice-director’s position in the kindergarten and by how its role is played out in the institution. In addition, the aim of this study is to highlight the importance of vice-directors’ role by trying to discover the meanings of their role when they talk about the complexity of their teaching life in their narratives of reflective character. For this study, three vice-directors (vice-director P, vice-director L and vice-director S) were interviewed in-depth eighteen times and the interview records were kept to be analyzed. As a result, the roles of vice-director were identified as follows: an educational coordinator between a director and teachers, an educational coach that inspires new teachers and moderates the relations among teachers; and an educational network that accommodates young children, their parents and teaching staff. Furthermore, vice-directors as educational multiplayers were seeking to change themselves in the ever-fluctuating educational circumstances by making constant self-improvements in their role performance and becoming a spiritual leader of all teaching staff was found to be their ultimate goal in their job execution.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

유아교육기관의 운영관리에 직접적으로 영향을 미치는 주요 구성원인 원감은 유치원 행정의 차위의 지위로서 원장의 지시를 받아 원무를 감독, 운영하는 교육 전문인이다. 본 연구는 원감은 유치원 내에서 어떤 존재이며, 원감의 가치관, 역할 수행이 어떻게 이루어지고 있는가에 대한 원감의 전문적 정체성에 대한 이해 연구이다. 이에 원감 교직생활의 다양한 복잡성을 반성적 이야기를 통해 원감 역할의 의미를 발견함으로써 원감 교직의 중요성을 부각하는 것을 연구목적으로 한다. 연구 대상으로 세 유치원 원감(P 원감, L 원감, S 원감)을 총 18회 심층 면담하여 면담 기록본을 수집, 분석하였다. 그 결과 원감의 전문적 정체성은 원장과 교사의 의견을 조율하는 교육적 조율사로서, 초임교사 끌어올리고 교사와의 조정적 관계를 맺는 교육적 연출가로서, 유아와 학부모와 교직원과 포용적 관계를 맺는 교육적 통신망으로서의 역할을 하고 있었다. 나아가 원감의 역할 수행과정에서 끊임없는 자기 수정을 통해 교육적 다역할수행자(multiplayer)로서 상황에 따른 신속한 변화를 추구하였으며, 모든 교직원의 마음의 리더가 되는 것을 역할 수행의 최종적인 목표로 삼고 있었다
