청소년의 인권감수성과 학교폭력에 대한 태도 = The Relationship between Human Rights Sensibility and School Violence Attitude among Adolescents

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to verify the relationship between human rights sensibility and school violence attitude among adolescents. This research conducted a survey from 640 students from 21 classes of 4 middle and 4 high schools. Human rights sensibility were measured by ‘Human Rights’ Sensibility Index’ developed by Moon and colleges(2002), having 3 sub-scales(factors): situation perception, consequence perception, and responsibility perception. Following is the result of the study. When the data collecting method, students’ personal characteristics(sex, middle or high school, grade, family’s financial status), parents’ nurturing behaviors(rationality and sense of intimacy), class and teacher climate were controlled, the higher were the scores of situation perception, consequence perception, and responsibility perception, the lower was the students’ accepting attitude toward school violence. And students from high schools than middle schools had lower scores in school violence attitude. Parents’ nurturing behavior and class and teacher climates also showed significant relationships with school violence attitude. Based on these findings, the study discussed theoretical and practical implications regarding the development of school violence prevention programs by improving human rights sensibility.
