아동ㆍ청소년기 사회적 관계가 자아개념 및 학업성취에 미치는 영향 = Effects of social relations in childhood and adolescence on self-concept and school achievement

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examines the effects of social relations in childhood and adolescence on self-concept and academic achievement and their changes using the 1st, 4th and 7th data of children panel included in additional survey of KoWePS. It set the basic assumption that family-parent, school-teacher and friend-peer relations as the important social relations factors in childhood and adolescence have causal relationship in self-concept, academic achievement and their changes and conducted latent growth model using the third wave data at three-year intervals. The analysis program was LISREL.
The results of analysis showed that school-teacher and friend-peer relations had the positive influences on the self-concept intercept, but family-parent relations had the positive effects on self-concept slope. On the other hand, family-parent had the influence on the academic achievement intercept and school-teacher had the influence on the academic achievement slope. Intercept and slope of self-concept had the positive effects on those of academic achievement. But, self-concept intercept and that of academic achievement had the negative effects on slope of self-concept and academic achievement.
It is considered that these research results confirmed the effects of causal relationship of social relations in childhood and adolescence on self-concept, academic achievement and their changes and will be available as information for healthy development of children and adolescents and enhancement of educational efficiency.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 한국복지패널(KoWePS) 부가조사에 포함된 아동패널 1차, 4차, 7차 데이터를 사용하여 아동기에서 청소년기에 이르는 동안 사회적 관계가 자아개념과 학업성취 그리고 그 변화에 미치는 영향을 탐색하고 있다. 이 연구는 아동ㆍ청소년기 중요한 사회적 관계인 가정-부모, 학교-교사, 친구-교우가 자아개념과 학업성취 그리고 그 변화에 영향을 미치는 요인이라는 기본가정을 설정하고 3년 간격의 3차 웨이브 자료를 사용하여 잠재성장모형 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 프로그램은 LISREL이다.
분석결과는 학교-교사와 친구-교우 관계는 자아개념 초기값에 긍정적 영향을 미친 반면, 가정-부모 관계는 자아개념 변화값에 정적 효과를 나타내었다. 다른 한편으로 가정-부모는 학업성취 초기값에 영향을 미치는 반면 학교-교사는 학업성취 변화에 영향을 미친다. 또한 자아개념 초기값과 변화값은 학업성취 초기값과 변화값에 각각 정적 효과를 나타내는 것을 볼 수 있다. 반면, 자아개념 초기값과 학업성취 초기값은 자아개념 변화값과 학업성취 변화값에 각각 부적 효과를 나타내고 있다.
이 연구 결과는 아동ㆍ청소년기 사회적 관계가 자아개념과 학업성취 그리고 그 변화에 미치는 인과관계 효과를 확인할 수 있으며, 이것은 아동 청소년의 건강한 발달과 교육 효율성 제고를 위한 정보로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
