코로나19 속 뉴노멀 시대 미국의 선교적 교회에 관한 연구

본 연구는 코로나 19 상황 속에서 미국의 선교적 교회의 사역에 대한 연구, 특히 새들백교회의 온라인 소그룹 사역을 중심으로 살펴본 것이다. 코로나19 상황 속에서 한국의 많은 교회들은 온라인 사역을 감당할 수 밖에 없는 상황속에 처하게 되었다. 그러나 사역의 방향성이나 사역을 위한 준비를 어떻게 해야 할지 몰라 어려움을 겪기 도 했다. 온라인 예배는 그나마 신경을 써서 감당을 했으나, 온라인 소그룹은 어떻게 인도하고 진행할지 몰라서 코로나 상황이 지나가기만을 기다리는 교회가 많았다. 그 러한 시행착오를 경험하면서 한국교회는 온라인 공간도 하나의 선교지가 될 수 있다 는 생각을 가지게 되었다. 온라인 사역에 대해서 좋은 모범을 보여주는 교회 중 하나 가 미국 캘리포니아에 있는 새들백교회(Saddleback Church)이다. 새들백교회는 500여 개가 넘는 사역을 모두 온라인으로 전환하면서 코로나 상황 속에서도 24,000명이 넘 는 세례자가 생겼다. 새들백교회는 제자도와 온라인 소그룹 사역에 탁월함을 보여주 고 있다. 이 논문은 새들백교회의 온라인 소그룹의 노하우를 살펴봄으로 디지털 미션필드 사역을 감당할 때 필요한 사역의 방향성과 실제에 대해서 나눠볼 것이다. 한국 사회의 교회에 대한 인식 변화를 살펴봄으로 앞으로 앞으로 선교의 방향성에 대한 고 민을 통해서 온라인 사역의 출발은 교인과 지역사회의 필요(felt-need)에서 출발해야 함을 살펴볼 것이다. 그러한 사역이 일회성의 사역이 아니라 앞으로 지향해야 할 방 향성이라는 생각으로 계속해서 사용할 수 있는 사역 커리큘럼의 온 디맨드(on-demand) 화 할 필요가 있다. This study focuses on the work of missional churches in the United States amid the Covid-19 situation, especially the online small group of Saddleback Church. Amid the Covid-19 situation, many churches in Korea are forced to start online ministry. However, church also had difficulties because church did not know the direction of the ministry or how to prepare for the ministry. Online worship was handled with care, but there were many churches waiting for the Covid situation to pass because they did not know how to start and proceed with online small groups. Experiencing such trial and error, I came to think that online space could be a missional site. One of the churches that sets a good example of online ministry is Saddleback Church in California, USA. Saddleback Church has converted all more than 500 ministries online from offline, creating more than 24,000 baptists despite the Corona situation. Saddleback Church shows excellence in discipleship and online small group ministry. This research will examine the know-how of the online small group of Saddleback Church and share the direction and practice of the ministry necessary to handle the digital mission field. By looking at the change in the perception of the church in Korean society, we will consider the direction of missional work in the future and see that the start of online ministry should start with felt-need of believers and communities. It is necessary to on-demand the ministry curriculum, which can continue to be used with the idea that such a ministry is not a solution but a direction in the future.

온라인 교회의 합당성에 관한 연구

본 논문의 목적은 온라인 교회가 발전해 온 역사를 통해 그 실체와 방향성을 살펴본 후, 온라인 교회의 유익성과 그 문제와 한계를 신학적이고 목회실천적 관점에서 살펴보는 것이다. 디지털 인터넷이라는 가상공간에서 실제적인 목회를 위한 “교회”라는 이름을 가진 새로운 교회의 모습인 온라인 교회가 일어나고 있다. 1980년대 중반 이후부터 영미권의 교회는 컴퓨터를 통한 인터넷을 매개로 소통하면서 온라인 교회를 발전시켜 왔다. 한국교회에서도 온라인 교회가 코로나19 사태를 경험하면서 단순한 비대면 온라인 목회 방식을 넘어 온라인 교회라는 이름으로 등장하고 있다. 온라인 교회는 두 가지 형태로 정리할 수 있는데, 오프라인의 기존 교회가 온라인상에 지교회 형식으로 세운 교회와 온라인상에서 독립적으로 세워진 교회이다. 온라인 교회를 찬성하는 견해는 4차 산업혁명의 혁신적인 디지털 기술의 발전과 코로나19 이후의 뉴노멀 시대에 맞는 새로운 교회의 대안으로 여긴다. 온라인 교회는 예수를 믿지만 교회에 출석하지 않는 성도와 신체적 질병이나 해외에 거주하는 성도들에게 신앙의 끈을 이어주는 역할을 할 수 있다. 또한 온라인 교회는 건물 임대에 대한 재정과 개척 멤버에 대한 부담이 없이 컴퓨터 한 대만 가지고도 교회를 개척할 수 있다는 장점도 있다. 하지만 온라인 교회가 “교회” 되기 위해서는 성경적으로, 신학적으로, 그리고 목회 실천적으로도 여러 문제와 한계를 갖는다. 첫째, 온라인 교회는 하나님의 에클레시아, 그리스도의 몸, 그리고 성령의 전으로서 성경적인 교회와 차이가 있다. 둘째, 온라인 교회는 참된 교회의 3대 표지인 말씀과 성례와 권징을 합당하게 집행하지 못하는 신학적인 문제와 한계를 갖는다. 셋째, 온라인 교회는 공동체 안에서의 전인적인 신앙 형성과 책임감을 강화하는데 부족하며, 직분자와 교회의 회의 제도를 세우는 일에도 한계를 갖기 때문에 중세 교회처럼 성직자 중심의 교회로 치우질 우려가 있다. 따라서 온라인 교회가 실용적인 관점에서 유익한 점도 있다는 사실을 부인할 수 없으나, 가상공간에서 시행되는 온라인 목회를 “교회”로 수용하기에는 신학적이며 목회실천적인 문제를 갖는다. 비록 인터넷이 디지털 세대와 전염병의 비대면 상황에서 예배와 전도, 성경 공부, 상담 등에도 유용한 매체가 될 수 있지만, 온라인 교회는 오프라인 교회를 대신할 수 없다. 하지만 이제 코로나19 전염병이 종식된다고 하더라도, 다시 오프라인 교회만의 목회로 돌아가는 시대는 오지 않을 것이다. 그러므로 교회는 디지털 친화적인 온라인 목회와 오프라인 목회를 병행하는 목회로 진행해야 한다.

코로나19 이후, 한국 개신교 교회의 교육목회 방향성 연구

본 연구는 코로나19라는 글로벌 위기를 겪으며 한국 개신교 교회가 맞닥뜨렸던 목 회현장의 어려움과 성도들의 현실을 고찰함으로써, 코로나19 이후의 다가올 미래를 어떻게 준비하며 나가야 할 것인지 그 교육목회적 방향성을 제시하고자 한다. 2년에 가까운 시간 동안 온오프라인 예배를 넘나들며, 교회는 신앙공동체의 삶 전반을 다시 성찰해야만 했으며, 성도들의 필요와 염려가 무엇인지 민감해야만 했다. 온라인 예배 송출과 소그룹 모임을 위한 방안 마련, 교회학교 예배의 온라인 송출 및 온라인 콘텐 츠 개발의 필요성, 멈춰진 전도와 제한적 봉사활동. 가정 안에 머물러야만 하는 성도 들의 개인 영성 및 신앙생활 점검의 필요성. 교회의 모든 활동을 다시 점검하고 깊은 성찰을 해야 하는 상황 속에서 목회자들과 평신도 모두 많은 고민과 성찰 속에 새로 운 길을 모색해 나가고 있다. 이러한 일련의 과정들은 신앙공동체로서 교회의 본질이 무엇인지 명확한 점검이 필요함을 절실히 보여주는 시간이었다고 할 수 있다. 더구나 코로나19 사태가 단기간 에 나아지지 않을 것이라고 예측되는 상황에서 또한 앞으로 언제든 이와 같은 위기의 상황이 발생할 수 있다는 위기의식 하에서, 교회는 다가올 시간들을 어떻게 준비하며 어떤 공동체로 세워져야 할 것인지 치열한 고민을 하며 새로운 기준을 세워야만 하는 중요한 순간을 맞이하고 있다. 따라서 본고는 글로벌 위기의 시대를 살아가는 상황 속에서 교육 목회적 관점으로 개체교회가 나아가야 할 방향성을, 지난해 초부터 겪어왔던 우리의 경험과 현실 상황 을 바탕으로 마리아 해리스가 강조한 교회의 다섯 가지 직능: 케리그마(말씀선포와 전도), 레이트루기아(예배와 예전), 디다케(교육과 훈련), 코이노니아(교제와 친교), 디 아코니아(섬김과 봉사)에 따라 뉴 노멀(New Normal)로서의 교육목회의 구체적인 미래 방안을 제시하고자 한다. The purpose of this study is to suggest the direction of future Christian educational ministry by examining the difficulties of the pastoral field and the reality of the members of the Korean Protestant church facing the global crisis of Covid-19. For nearly last two years, going back and forth between online and offline worship, the church had to place the virtual space as an extension of the worship service, re-examine the whole life of the faith community, and be sensitive to the needs and concerns of the church members. This is partly because it was difficult to imagine Sundays not being able to gather in the church and because we have been concentrating on gathering at the church for a long time. This process becomes a chance to show the need for a clear examination of the essence of the church as a community of faith. Moreover, in a situation where the COVID-19 condition is not predicted to improve in a short period of time, the church is facing a desperate moment when it has to set a new standard while preparing for the times to come and thinking fiercely about what kind of community it should be established as. Therefore, based on the experience the church has experienced since the beginning of last year, this study proposes the concrete ways of educational ministry as the new normal according to the five functions of the educational ministry of Maria Harris: worship(kerygma), liturgy(leiturgia), education(didache), fellowship(koinonia), and service(diakonia).

Internet Gaming Addiction among Adolescents and Approaches to Solutions

The purpose of this study is to research Internet gaming addictions among adolescents and to find the fundamental cause and accordingly propose approaches to seek progress in resolving such problems. An appropriate use of the Internet can be beneficial to an individual, yet the failure to do so has the potential to drastically alter a normal and healthy lifestyle and create more social issues. It is therefore crucial to establish boundaries and learn methods of self-control and self-discipline regarding Internet use starting at a young age. Although there have been efforts nationally to encourage such practices, there is a limit to how effectively the issue can be handled on such a large scale, requiring cooperation within the smaller units of an individual’s life. This study focuses on the role of the church and family in finding solutions regarding the issue of Internet gaming addiction among adolescents.
