This paper presents the research on the optical emission spectra (OES) of the secondary plasma formed on the surface of a polyethylene target by high intensity pulsed ion beams (HIPIB) produced in the TEMP-II accelerator of our laboratory. It can be veried from the OES that the secondary plasma is mainly composed of H, C, C2and CH species. The temporal proles of some spectral lines of the species, recorded by a SP305 spectrometer with a TEKTRONIX TDS3052 500 MHz storage oscilloscope, are investigated under the typical running conditions of the TEMP-II. The average standing time of the secondary plasma is evaluated from the 30 s temporal proles when the HIPIB has a energy density of 4 J/cm2 and a duration of 75 ns. The forming time of the secondary plasma is also about 30 s, which equals to the average delay of the spectral emission pulses relative to the trigger pulse of the HIPIBs.
A Simplified Synchronous Pulse-Width Modulation Method for Three-level Inverter of High-speed Train

The synchronous Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) is quite complex for three-level neutral point-clamped (NPC) inverter. A simple central 60° synchronous modulation method is presented in this paper for three-level NPC inverter used in the multi-mode PWM strategy. For the fundamental voltage command, the switching angle could be real-time calculated based on this modulation method with different carrier frequency ratios. The switching strategy between these modes is discussed for multi-mode PWM. According to this method, a simulation model of the drive system with three-level inverter and induction motor is built. The simulation results at asynchronous modulation, central 60° synchronous modulation and square wave area, show that the output voltage values can meet the requirements with a good symmetry even in the case of low carrier frequency ratio. The smooth switching among different modes is also accomplished with low impulse current.

Rhododendron molle G. Don, an endemic species of the Ericaceae family, possesses valuable medicinal and horticultural values. In this research, R. molle cp genome proved to be a typical quadripartite structure with the length of 200,878 bp. In particular, the lengths of large single-copy region (LSC), small single-copy region (SSC), and inverted repeat regions (IR) were 198,019 bp, 629 bp, and 1117 bp, respectively. Among the 149 unique genes, 97 were protein-coding genes, 44 were tRNA genes, and 8 were rRNA genes, respectively. Leucine was the most representative amino acid (10.663%), while Cysteine was the lowest representative (1.178%). A set of 30 codons showed obvious codon usage bias, while 29 were A/U-ending codons. Six gene regions showed high levels of nucleotide diversity (Pi > 0.02). Totally, 273 SSRs were identified. Maximum-likelihood (ML) phylogenetic analysis revealed that R. molle was relatively closed to the R. pulchrum and R. delavayi. High similarity was detected among Ericaceae species, and the coding regions were more conserved than the non-coding regions. Expansion and contraction detected in IR region could be the main length variation in R. molle and related Ericaceae species. This research will supply rich genetic resource for R. molle and related species of Ericaceae.
